(July 10) -- It's a new form of adult entertainment, and men are paying thousands of dollars to shoot naked women with paint ball guns. They're coming to Las Vegas to do it. This bizarre new sport has captured the attention of people around the world, but Channel 8 Eyewitness News reporter LuAnne Sorrell is the only person who has interviewed the game's founder.

George Evanthes has never been hunting. "Originally I'm from New York. What am I going to hunt? Squirrels? Someone's cats. Someone's dogs? I don't think so," said Evanthes. Now that he's living in Las Vegas , he's finally getting his chance to put on his camouflage, grab a rifle and pull the trigger, but what's in his scope may surprise you. He's not hunting ducks or even deer. He's hunting woman. Naked women.

"I've done this three times," says Nicole, one of the three women allowing themselves to be shot at. "I've done this seven times," says Skyler, another woman participating. "I've done it seven times," says Gidget the third woman.

Hunting for Bambi is the brain child of Michael Burdick. Men pay anywhere from $5000 to $10,000 for the chance to come to the middle of the desert to shoot what they call "Bambi's" with a paint ball gun. Burdick says men have come from as far away as Germany. The men get a video tape of their hunt to take home and show their friends.

Burdick says safety is a concern, but the women are not allowed to wear protective gear -- only tennis shoes. Today while the Eyewitness News cameras were rolling, one woman chose to wear bikini bottoms but normally all they wear is their birthday suits.

Burdick says hunters are told not shoot the women above the chest, but admits not all hunters follow the rules. "The main goal is to be true as true to nature as possible. I don't go deer hunting and see a deer with a football helmet on so I don't want to see one on my girl either," said Burdick.

The paint balls that come out of the guns travel at about 200 miles per hour. Getting hit with one stings even with clothes on, and when they hit bare flesh, they are powerful enough to draw blood.

Evanthes shot one of the women and says, "I got the one with the biggest rack."

Gidget is the one who took the paint ball shot to the rear. She says, "It hurt. It really hurt. I didn't think it was going to be that bad. When asked if she cried she says,"yeah, a little bit."

So why do women agree to strip down and run around the desert dodging paint balls? Nicole says it's good money. "I mean it's $2500 if you don't get hit. You try desperately not to and it's $1000 if you do, said Nicole.

Now both the men and women say this is all good, clean fun, but in Part 2 of this story, reporter LuAnne Sorrell spoke with a psychologist who says for some men playing out this sexual aggression may lead to other more violent acts against women.

I think it's fuckin' hilarious. I don't think the women should be required to go without at least protective goggles, or something, some jerk with bad aim could take her eye out. Hell, is there a Hunt For Bambino option??? I'll get butt naked and let women try and take shots at me for $1000+. I do see this going horribly wrong eventually, but hey, everyone's got their price, and if "Bambi" needs some extra coke money, why not.

If some wealthy maladjusted fogey wants to blow 10K on a few paintballs just to see naked women scatter, amen to the guy who gets rich.

Hey I've played paint ball many times. Been hit on bare flesh too. Yeah it hurts but no more than a scraped knee. I've gotten that - sprained wrist too playing sports like paintball and I've got a gun too. I don't see anything wrong with either participant in this game. I'd do it no problem. It'd be worth the drive out there from Wi just to get the $1000. I'd like to think I able capable of walking away with more. If you can't separate fantasy from reality then you've just got larger problems and this game isn't going to cause them - Sure it might be a way for you (with the problem) to push that fantasy a little farther but if you're going to end up raping someone then that's probably something that you'd do anyway. Maybe this will let you take out that aggression without doing permanant damage or something illegal. Any of you want to try it. I'll be the target.

i have no desire to do it. if i spent $10k on naked women it would involve balls, but no paint.

i can alsos see something going wrong. this is why it can be risky. if you can't do it, don't. if someone wants to we have no right to say 'you can't!'.

Everybody wins. She gets paid $2500 if she doesn't get hit and $1000 if she does. I don't know about you but I don't mind running around nekkid and getting paid $1000 for getting hit by a paintball. I do think goggles should be worn...but hey...sight is overrated.
If "Bambi" doesn't care....we shouldn't either.

Actually, that sounds like a lot more fun. Me and my buds in paintball combat against a squad of naked girls. I'd even let them wear eye protection.

While it may seem to be good clean fun for some, this can only go VERY bad. I went to the website and watched the video trailer and after these guys "make a kill" they are treating the girls like big game and dragging them back to base camp and standing over them like they are trophies.

It's only gonna take one guy with a skinning knife to get a little too excited and.....

Don't get me wrong. I'm not anti-gun at all and I do see the fun in regular paintball, but hunting for humans like this can only lead to trouble...

I forsee a new activity at the TFP gettogether in Novemeber.

I almost forgot the funniest line in the story, where the hunter said "I got the one with the biggest rack."

i can see why that would be fun... but i would prefer just near nude paintball fights... i mean im sure just hunting them is pretty fun... but it makes it a whole bunch harder if their hunting you at the same time...

and i think safety glasses would be a pretty good idea... i mean... a paintball in the eye would mess things up pretty badly... and its not like safety glasses would be a like a football helmet... just glasses...

and they keep saying how fast the paintballs are goin.. well on every gun ive seen you can slow down the paintballs quite a bit...

If you have 10,000 to burn on shooting a naked girl with a paintball... I'm betting the "normal" calll girls have you black listed.

Anyone who points a live or loaded paintball marker at anyone without a mask should never be allowed to touch paintball equipment again.

Yeah. there is a point about wearing protective glasses. It wouldn't get in the way of seeing a naked girl either. I'd ask to wear the glasses at least - Hey they're letting the girls wear shoes why not glasses.

I'm with MrSelfDestruct. A paintball marker shoots a .68 caliber projectile at close to 300 fps. And if it doesn't break it stings like hell. They're begging for someone to lose an eye. You can't control where some of the shots are going to go. "aim below the shoulders" is not a proper safety option.

As for the rest of it, I guess "different strokes", although I think it'd be more fun if they got to shoot back, but damn it, it's just plain irresponsible to put people in danger like that.

There was a little girl here locally that got shot in the eye by a paintball b/c some punks were playing in a public park. They don't know if she'll ever see out of it again, she's pretty messed up.

That type of crap gives what is a a really fun sport a really bad name.

In 1924, Richard Connell wrote a short story called, ¨the most dangerous game¨ - which was about a big-game hunter who tired of hunting animals, and went on to trap and hunt people.

this was copied by the Alaskan serial killer, Robert Hansen, in the 1980s... except the difference was, that Hansen would kidnap prostitutes, violently rape them, and then strip them naked and fly them to his hunting lodge way out in the wilderness, and then he would hunt them.

this new paintball adventure seems to have taken most of that sick fuck Hansens fantasies, and made them available on a smaller scale to similarly vicious males.

the addition of the available videotape only makes this worse.

hunting naked women in the wilderness is sick and abhorrent. and i cannot fathom how some of you guys would find this entertaining.

i'm looking at this again, and here's a male equivalent that I can come up with...because these Bambi's have a choice to do this or not and walking away with US$1000 minimum hoping to get US$2500 maxium and maybe a tip.

Men would you step in the ring to take 1 punch from Mike Tyson. You can move. He hits you in the stomach or face, you get US$1,000. Arm, side, or back, you get US$2500.

That's the motivator. It's simple, otherwise these girls wouldn't be doing it. It's not like they are duped or anything.

Ive played paint ball for over 12 years now..

a. insurance must be bought and updated to run any paintball field..
1. although a small time .. one that dosent operate all the time .. no

b. the reporter on the tilted nonsense thread was wrong.. dead wrong.. that paint ball she shot.. it wasnt a paint ball.. that glass was too thick to break the glass the way it did.. she shot a steel baring or a marble.. or even a frozen paint ball..

c. i dont approve for the simple fact.. im a man.. and i repect the Lady side of the human race. even if they women agree and are paid.. wrong is wrong.. why..

Yeah, I agree with the people that think this thing is wrong. It offends me as a paintball player and it pisses me off when I read that the girls don't wear proper protective gear. When I first heard about it I thought exactly what Drider_it mentioned, which was how these "hunts" have the potential to seriously damage the sport of paintball.

i saw a bit about it on pardon the interruption a little while ago... the picture they showed of it made me kinda sick [a dust-covered woman thrown to the ground holding her arms up while a couple of guys closed in on her aiming the paintguns], but i agree with halx.

This would fall under the banner of "to each his own" if I didn't think it was going to mess with paintball as a sport.

Plus, I can't even imagine whats running through your head if you think this sounds like a good time, on either side of the paintball.

this concept reminds me of a familiar topic: Vegas rocks. That town is SO weird. I can't ever stop thanking my parents enough for buying a posh vacation home out there... that they never use. hahaha

Frankly, I think this $10K thing is balderdash. I betcha $500 at the Palomino would yield some volunteers... but either way, yeah, the girls should be required to wear shoes, goggles and knee/elbow pads. Basic safety needs to be addressed... but after that, it kinda sounds like fun. As for "sporting," I supopse you could make it an option to the buyer as to whether or not the prey is armed. Frankly, I think the no-hit incentive bonus should make it fairly sporting as-is.

When I told my gf about this a few days ago, she was all for it; thought it sounded like fun. Til we got the the "video" part. Not so keen on that. So... yeah... maybe this should become a sport at gatherings, for those who are game (pun intended).
