FBI caught cheating on exam
alltopics.com/politics/FBI-Agents-Cheat-On-Exams
A Justice Department investigation found that FBI agents and supervisors cheated on an open-book test that covered the bureau's policies for conducting surveillance on Americans. The cheating scandal comes at the same time as a different report that says the FBI used inaccurate information to monitor domestic activist groups. It was revealed the FBI gave false information to Congress and the public when it claimed a possible terrorism link to justify spying on an anti-war rally in Pittsburgh in 2002.In the report the FBI calls the Pittsburgh surveillance "an ill-conceived project on a slow work day". So they were sitting around coming up with bogus excuses to spy on people? Way to make yourselves look like an integral part of this country's security. |
Here's the video frankies mentioned above:
I'm glad that this is making news. I don't know what your response is, but I'm pissed. Here is an electronic copy of the official report: http://www.scribd.com/doc/38230785/D...-Investigation Here are a couple of news and opinion articles about the topic, in case anyone is interested in reading more: SpyTalk - FBI cheating confirmed by Justice Department Report: Significant cheating by FBI agents on exam - Yahoo! News And some older articles from the beginning of the investigation: FBI employees reportedly cheated on security test | Reuters Alleged FBI cheating investigated - UPI.com Hundreds of FBI agents 'cheated on spying rules test' - Telegraph |
How does one cheat on an open-book test? "I spy, with my little eye?"
|
Somehow I'm not shocked. Saddened but not shocked. I didn't read all the articles, any word on the fate of the cheaters?
|
So...FBI agents are just like everybody else?
|
The only people who seem to be scolded are the test-writers for making a difficult, ambiguous test, and not making the definition of cheating for this specific test more clear.
