No. We accept cash and major credit cards." i'm questioning the site now. holy fucking shit, check out their gallery http://www.babyink.com/gallery.html looks real

It has to be fake.
A four year old child that gets a tatoo is not gonna be pleased with how it look by the time she hits twenty. Cause the tatoo would look like a big blob, you can't "grow into" tatoos. Ever seen a pregnant woman with a tatoo on her belly? |

The gallery is what freaked me out, the shot of that little girl with a scorpion on her forearm is tragic if it is real.

It is probably not real. I can't find anything on Snopes yet, but I'l sure it'll be there in a few days.
The gallery doesn't convince me; the close-ups are too close to show scale. They could just as easily be adult tatoos. The shots of the kids getting inked are too far to show if they are real or not. And, the tattoos are finished already, there's no "reddening" of the skin around the art, like in the close-ups, they are most likely temp tattoos. Even the kid in the Raiders jersey I'm sure is faking the cry. I checked the addresses and the first one, 743 Rainier Ave, WA, 98055 is actually in Renton, a suburb of Seattle, and is a Wal-Mart. The second, 2301 WEST Wellesley Ave, Spokane, WA 99205 is another Wal-Mart. I haven't checked the others, I'm satisfied it's fake. -Mikey |

I am glad...I would be calling someone about it if not. That is child abuse plain and simple. I would get the parents arrested and the tattoo shop closed down and his license revoked.
Shit like that is not even funny. I don't know why people even fake it. Way to check up on the addresses though. |

BAhahahaha when i saw the name of the website i was hoping thats what it was! i saw a kid with a temp. tattoo the other day and thought about how strange it would be for a baby to get a real one. Of course its fake. The skin not being red is a big one. or the tattos being bloched. They would be red and scabby in the weeks after, and kids pick scabs, no matter how much you tell them not to. The tattoos would have white spots all through them, and if the addresses are walmarts then ya, its probably fake, not faking hiliarity though!

Ear pierced isn't permenent. When these kids get older there is no way they could remove the tattoo without alot of money and it's not gone, just faded and scarred. At least with an earring, it only cost about 2 seconds to remove the ring, and you're left with a hole that you won't even pay attention to.

BABY INK TATTOOS.... WTF!?!?!?!
I just found this site and thought it was a joke. Baby Ink Tattoos, they are a shop that caters to children. Ok they must apply non permanent tattoo... hmmm.. wait ... no
THEY ACTUALLY TATTOO CHILDREN above the age of 6 month.... 6 MONTHS!!!!!!!! That is fuckin wrong IMO. I am covered in Tattoos, and I don't care how cool I think it would be I am not marking my child until my child is old enough to make the proper desision on his/her/his own. Do you know what a tattoo will look like 30 years down the road when the kid is only 31? All the sunburns, scratches, scuffs and daily kid stuff will leave a colored artist bruise by the time the kid is old enough to show it off at the bars. This ... hands down is fuct

In the previous thread it was decided that it was fake because someone looked for that address and it didn't exist or something, I don't quite remember. But if you look at the tattoos there are some odd things as well. First being why it came out so well, and why it's not red. There was a predominant thought that it wouldn't come out well, since kids enjoy picking at scabs, and you can't do that with tattoos. The lack of redness is also odd, not having any tattoos I wouldn't know, but I can imagine.

Guys.
Wanna know how I figured out it was a fake? Search google for babyink.com (anything this controversial is bound to have google results), then look at some person in San Diego's weblog. Then check out the radio station website of the station the person mentions and sure it enough it was an April Fool's joke. |
