Well I was born here in the States, I do love it here and I can't say I'd ever want give up my US citizenship but sometimes I do think it would nice to move to small island nation somewhere. I love hot, tropical weather, I love the beach...so why not enjoy it everyday? (yes I'm aware I could that and stay in the US)

But what the hell, I'm not leaving the US anyway so I'll just be completely unrealistic and say someday I'm immigrating to...oh I don't know, Trinidad and Tobago, getting a job playing bass in some tourist trap night club and buy a little shack down by the beach. Life just couldn't get any better...could it?

Nah, in all honesty I'm happy where I am, my loved ones are here, I have a great life, more fun then a fellow should be allowed to have, why on earth would I ever want to leave?

Change is good. why don't you opt for St. kitts. citizenship in the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis offer a beautiful tropical local for a permanent or second home if you so choose.

My first real post here, by the way! (:
Pleased to meet you, MQA
I, also, am new here. This is a good place.

For me, citizenship of another country does not make sense. In England, we've not had immediately-life-threatening communist dictatorships. Daniel's comments about England match my own experience.

While I love the good-ol' USA, the constant fighting and controversy gets old sometimes.

HEALTHCARE! GUNS! IMMIGRANTS! BANKRUPTCIES! CREDITOR ABUSE!

If I could, I would like to travel around a bit, and blend in with the population to learn what works where.

Im new here but I read a few post and a thought hit me. I dont think citizenship is not just where you are but what you do.

KirStang you make a good point Im tired of all the B S to. I know there are good people out there with real ideas to solve our real problems. We need these people to step up. We know the real thing when we see it. If anyone knows these people get them to come forward. Have meeting in your homes get them on sites like this lets get in front of the people

There are better places in the US than where I have lived, and those places could be made better as well if certain things were improved. The politics and differences between the two parties could rip apart this country, and if that happens, there are better countries to live in.

Australia - Perfect, except for nature wanting to kill you, it has fewer problems than anywhere else I've been and would be my first choice.
New Zealand - Too few 'poor' people or immigrants. The menial labor pool is too thin. Land is at a premium, yet under utilized.
Europe - Nice to visit, but weather, large population, and language issues are here
Mexico - Crime concerns, but nice weather
Canada - Perfect, except for the cold weather.

They score points for the weather, proximity to beaches, active/fit/healthy population, laid back attitude, a public transit system that actually works in Sydney, friendly people, well built infrastructure , basic healthcare coverage, not materialistic workaholics, and a few others things. You could move there and fit in pretty quickly. The population density is about right. Not too big (US & Asia), and not too small (NZ)

The downsides are internet access, flies in the outback, severe storms, stores closing at 5pm, crocs, snakes, and spiders that want you dead.

follower of the child's crusade?

I was born in England and I am a citizen of the UK.

I think I have a legal right to citizenship of Israel if I wanted.

I was offered a job in Germany which I turned down. I still dont know if it was the right decision. The main reason I didnt relocate and have never seriously thought about it is language barrier and simple resistance to change.

The language isn't the hardest to learn (most kids here speak it fluently) - and the scandinavian girls make up for anything else you might miss
I'll guess MQA can confirm this.

I'm pretty content being a Norwegian citizen. I would love to travel more, live abroad - but I'm not willing to give up my citizenship in favour for another country.

I had a roommate in college from Norway. I heard some nice stories about that place. If it was warmer, it would be great.
