Sub-forum rename and other upcoming changes
Forum name: Tilted Fun Zone
Tag: We aren't all just about serious discussion. Find a game and jump in! I renamed the forum Tilted Nonsense to Tilted Fun Zone. You guys are here to have fun, have a good time, and to take a break from discussion. Not only is there a name change, but we're going to start moving some of the threads to different forums because some of them are very creative and collaborative, some evoke some discussion after a period of time. Why should they be in nonsense when it makes total sense for them to be the expression of creativity or discussion that they are housed in better venue. While you may not think it is a big difference, it does make a difference in the impression that someone has about coming here and clicking on new posts and seeing that almost half of the active threads are in nonsense. People discussing nonsense? Many of you let me know that you're here to enjoy yourself and have fun, so I made a simple compromise to re-label the space, and put it back into the new posts search. I'm sorry that it took me some time, but due to some technical constraints I needed to do some research before I made a change like renaming the forum. It sounds like it's an easy change, and it's a little more complicated than just renaming the forum. If you want to know the technical things behind it, PM me and I'll be happy to explain it. Otherwise, I'd rather not bore everyone with the technical babble. While the overall total amount of posts did not decrease, the community focused their posts on other active discussions instead. I encourage you to take a break from discussions and have fun, but don't forget about the rest of the forums. Another announcement is that in preparation for upgrading the software and server, I've had to disable the ability to attach images to all forums except Tilted Exhibition and Members Playground, until after the move. You can still link your images from any of the free photo hosting services. In fact, there is a very handy mod that many of you may not know about to easily use ImageShack and Photobucket. You must have an account with either service to use it. You can pick which service you'd like by adding yourself to the public group via your User Control Panel or the link below. http://www.tfproject.org/tfp/profile...editusergroups This inconvenience is unfortunate but necessary because the next upgrade makes a big change to how things are attached to posts. Finally we've really outgrown TinyChat. Lots of members come through it and there are lots of issues from not being able to connect, to rooms flooding with uninvited guests, to being in a room all by yourself. We're planning on buying our own video chat system which will integrate with our forums much better than TinyChat. This is planned for the summer and you'll hear more about it in the upcoming weeks. I mentioned an upcoming upgrade, so first we have to upgrade our forum software. We've been tinkering with it for the past few months, and we're almost ready. I've been testing the vbulletin 4.0 for a few months now, and it's a little bit different in how it works from a technical perspective. I need some more feedback on the performance of the software, if you have any interest, I'm ready to give people the URL and let people try it out. I'm looking for a good amount of people, so it would be good if you lent a hand. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

thanks I edited it for a bit more clarity and not for people to think it's an April Fool's.
