Without getting into the whys of circumcision, (but hey, it's one thing that Jews and Muslims can agree on) I would have to say that in this woman's experience circumcised dicks may have a little different shape. Risky, like any generalization, but I think maybe (may have to do more research) the glans may tend to be larger on a circumcised dick.
I really love the feel of just the head going in a couple of inches, and then back out. Maybe a little more "mushroom" shape than pipe or bottle shape (where the head is smaller than the shaft) just rubs me the right way, so to speak. And I think I've noticed that shape more on circumcised guys. Your mileage may vary, blah, blah, blah.

I've also heard that uncut is more sensitive, more pleasurable, for the man. Kind of puts the cum back in circumcision. I don't know if that sensitivity would make a difference to the woman.

Foreskin is the way it was designed, and it works just fine the vast majority of times. There is no good reason to get rid of it. Doing that doesn't sound like fun at all.

I prefer it natural, for both feeling and aesthetics. Lindy, I really don't think that foreskin has much to do with glans size. I've found at least one perfectly shaped penis with both a nice big head and an intact foreskin.

I like mine cut. I've never known what it was like uncut, but I like it cut nonetheless. I heard it's easier to keep it clean cut since there's no overlapping skin, but what do I know. I've never had a dirt issue, infection issue, no excess smegma...whatever.

i didnt have a choice either..but as a muslim, ive got nothing against it. and for the record its not the only thing that muslims and jews share in common.

is it genital mutilation? it depends on who you ask really, but no more mutilation that piercings or tattoos. i had my son snipped a few days after he was born. He never cried and the procedure is quite straight forward these days. i hope he carries on the tradition.

A nice, convenient way to add a few hundred bucks to the bill for having a kid and pretend it's about health. There's almost never a medical reason to do it, and amputating part of your son's penis because your religion or culture has been doing it for thousands of years is not rational. Circumcising infants should be illegal unless there's a medical necessity.

I have a relative whose parents decided against circumcision. He's had issues with infections ever since his childhood because of this. He's currently 63 and still has issues with him and his wife sharing these infections back and forth. Yet he fears having anything done about it now (i.e. pain.)

This may not be common, but it happens.

circumcision does lessen the risk of hiv transmission by a considerable amount- and as a guy who's ex cheated on him with god knows how many men, I for one welcome anything that may have helped keep me safe..... and having had orgasms before and after being circumcised ( it was done at 12) I can say that the man will loose some sensitivity in general, but the orgasm is just as intense, possibly more so post circumcision... I am the only person I know that has the ability to compare, but I am only one person.... so make your own conclusions.....

It IS amusing to see how they will scramble to get away from that touch they were so eager for a minute earlier.
My personal experience (mostly in the US of A, and mostly with men or boys who were --at least nominally-- Christians or Jews) with circumcised men tells me that their sensitivity is certainly "sufficient."

We need to do something to get medical costs and hospital expenses under control. It seems like getting rid of doing that procedure routinely would help. It might reduce the amount of lube that needs to be bought as well once they get older.

Foreskins do have a use. I heard there used to be a rabbi in Boston that would save the foreskins from doing circumcisions and made little souvenir coin purses.
Then if you rubbed one it would turn into a briefcase.

I've dated women who refuse to have sex with UC men. (No, I'm not making that up.) Others who exclaim, "thank god your circumcised, my last BF was uncut....."

I once dated a woman who was in the medical industry and she stated that while she felt it was totally unnecessary she loved cut cocks and if she had a son she would feel very bad about it, but she would have him done.

All that said, it comes down to personal preference.

Well said. And I totally agree. It's unnecessary now. Yes there may be some religious ideals behind it, and in the past it was thought to be medically necessary, but now that we know better, why do we keep doing it?

I think it should be an elective procedure. Like breast implants. Do it only if and when you want to.

In the interests of teasing a thread jack, it should be pointed out that there are multiple studies, including randomized trials, that support the idea that, at least on a population scale, circumcised men are less likely to get HIV.

Though it should be noted that these studies were carried out in populations with a much greater prevalence of HIV than the U.S. and so the "protection" seen in circumcised men might not amount to much over here.

Given the fact that circumcision doesn't really offer that much protection from HIV, and also that there doesn't seem to be a lot of evidence that circumcision affects transmission rates of other STDs (I'm just assuming here, sue me), using circumcision as part of a personal plan for avoiding STDs while having unprotected sex seems like a bad idea.

I do find it difficult to give head to a man that is uncut, I gag on the extra skin. That is something I would prefer not to do.

As far as I'm aware, the studies have been done in sub-Saharan Africa mainly, where circumcision is not randomly applied, but is regional or cultural - therefore it is not possible to be certain that (for example) the group in which uncut men are more common is also more generally promiscuous. I don't know if this is tested, but until it is, it's dangerous to draw conclusions.

As far as it goes, I think it (circumcision) is a personal decision and I don't buy into all the hoopla about banning male circumcision or it being a traumatic experience, or mutilation, etc. Hooey.

Strangely though, I find uncut guys much more vocal about the whole issue for some reason.
