E-cigarettes: Any experiences?
So I've been doing some research on these new contraptions called 'E-cigarettes'. I've actually been hoping something like this would be invented for years, and now that it appears to be available, I've very interested in trying it. Here's a quick video demonstrating the concept. There's better demonstration videos out there if you care to look, but this seemed to be the most simple and least ad-filled.
I'm doing a lot of reading on this, and there is a very large forum community dedicated to this if you care to google and look it up on your own, I don't really think direct linking to other forums here is very appropriate. A quick search on these products in general leads to several popular brands, but after some reading I'm certainly going to do some research and looking for a quality kit to buy and try, rather than the immediate top hits. Has anyone tried these, and willing to share their experiences? Is anyone else considering trying this?

I smoked for 8-9 years (just so you know where I'm coming from) and they really didn't do anything for me. I can kinda see the attraction, but....eh....it's sort of like masturbating vs having sex - doesn't really get rid of the original desire, just possibly satiates it for a while. If you're interested, a lot of malls have kiosks with people hawking the things and they'll let you try it for free, no questions asked (that's how I've tried them). I'm sure it's healthier, but really, pretty much anything's healthier than actually smoking, and unless you plan on quitting smoking 100% and switching to these altogether, it's probably only going to make your nico-fiend worse.

I tried one at the state fair a couple months ago. They actually taste really good, and they feel just like a regular cigarette to me. I've been planning on buying one from the company I tried it with; I just haven't dropped the $85.00 yet.
