If you like big breasts ...
Come to Liverpool! Liverpudlian women boast the biggest breasts in Britain, with an average bra size of 34E! By contrast, Birmingham comes in smallest at 34A. Hey, I like 'em all, but I've got hometown pride as much as the next guy!
Liverpool girls are cup winners with average bra size of 34E... but A-cup Birmingham falls flat | Mail Online Quote:

I wonder if there's some sort of sample bias based on the locations of the stores. Perhaps the Birmingham store primarily caters to anorexic teens? I have a hard time believing that a town would have an average of an A cup.

I bet there could be an inch (aka 25.4 mm) variation just based on measuring technique. See that little pull on the back behind her right arm? IMO that should not be pulled so tightly.
Seems like there might be a need for proper breast measuring lessons. |

Wow, I never knew how big the boobs were in Britain...
Thanks for the memo.

I remember this article from last year, and probably the year before. I'm not sure if it was successive winners in terms of English location, but this is assuredly a yearly occurrence, with some aspects of a poll and census included.
Also, I'm not sure what sort of merits the "Dailymail" has, but I'm inclined to wonder if they are Britain's version of "The National Enquirer".

An average size of 34E is just too fantastical for me to believe, unless people in Liverpool are even fatter than they are in America (or maybe unless they're taking fake breasts into account as well).

But what about the all important number in front of the E? The chests are equal, it's the breasts alone that are larger.

A good point, but in order for 34E to be the average they've supposedly got a whole bunch of EE's, F's, etc out there. A closer reading of the article also indicates that fake breasts are definitely taken into account, so maybe women in Liverpool just love their plastic surgery.
A few other considerations from onodrim: Since this is based on bra sales, it's worth noting that women with smaller breasts purchase fewer bras because they're not as necessary. Furthermore, there's always a smaller selection of A and B bras because they're just not manufactured as much.

A Google search for 'Birmingham UK "no fat chicks"' returned only 350 results, so I doubt there's an official policy.
I'm going with the Daily Mail's apparent bias against including actual facts in their articles. |

I imagine part of the reason for the 34E average is that women who shop at Debenhams are more likely to get an accurate measurement when they select a bra; many women mistakenly opt for a large band size when they actually need a large cup size. There are a lot of large-breasted women out there, and a lot of them are wearing the wrong size bra.

Breasts are okay, but it's not the most important thing in a woman. TBH I would rather date a woman who is good looking (regardless of cup size) with a nice personality, than a woman who has big boobs and little else going for her.

I believe that England uses a different system for measuring cup size than we do. I don't know why I know that, but I think it is true. At the very least it would explain such outrageous results.
