Lots of good memories and great music. Those years were so different.
Born in 36 would put her at 72 at death.

NPR had a nice story on her this morning.
And I remember listening to "Puff the Magic Dragon" on an LP on my parents' stereo over and over again in kindergarten. But I'm pretty sure that neither of my parents have ever even seen pot unless it was already in a cop's hand. Whatever. It was a great album.

My parents took my sister and I to a summer concert on the Boston Green... oh, probably 1986 or so. I think we were the only two people under 40 in attendance. Great show nonetheless.

PP&M were one of the first folk bands I liked as a kid in elementary school in the early 1960's....nothing but fond memories of all their great music and wit. Her legacy, especially as part of the band, will last forever.

Their "Puff the Magic Dragon" was one of the very first songs I can remember calling "my favorite song" when I was kid back in the mid-60s. It was hugely popular.
