Which book are you in the midst of reading now?

as for me...

Grapes of Wrath, John Steinbeck

Really good book, if you ask me, but then again, my last book was a piece of drivel by tom clancy. (which i wil NEVER read again, BTW)

George Orwell, 1984 & Animal Farm.

Really in love with both books and they go together. I feel like writing a review on them right now, but I'd be at the keyboard for a month and the bandwidth would probably wreck the server.

Tommorrow through Today - Heinlen.

at least I think that is the title of it. Doesn't really make a difference, it is a collection of several of his stories.

Too many to count...
The Search for Modern China by Spence, Idoru and Mona Lisa Overdrive by Gibson, Journey to the West, The Analects, and a couple of Dave Barry books. I just finished a book on the Boxer Rebellion, which was really interesting. I'm trying to finish up the books I'd never read while at school so I'll have the fun ones for when I need a break.
Oh yeah, I'm about to start the latest Terry Pratchett book. I've put that off for far too long.

Hey, stop it! I'm reading "Stranger in A Strange Land"! I was reading through all the posts and all the while thinking to myself, "I'm gonna be the only one reading Heinlein..." then I see a post about someone reading some short-story collection by Heinlein, and I think to myself, "Ah, thats all right." But I run across your post and I say, "NoooooOOOoo!!! I thought I was original!" So how far are ya, huh? I only have about 40 pages left. Its supposedly completely different from all of his other works, and it is for most of the beginning, but towards the end it is very Heinlein-ish. Book I'm gonna read next: "The Moon is A Harsh Mistress" by none other than the great Robert Anson Heinlein himself

Order of Heinlen books I've read consecutively:

Starship Troopers - this one is the one that doesn't resemble any other
I Will Fear No Evil - bleh
The Cat That Walks Through Walls - It was all right
Time Enough For Love - Pretty good

I'm gonna buy another Heinlein book when I'm almost done with "The Moon is A Harsh Mistress"

How are the other books by Heinlen different from 'Starship Troopers'? That is one of my favorite books.

Demon Haunted World by Sagan is also an excellent non-fiction choice. I've given a few copies of that book away to my friends...
