Tommorrow through Today - Heinlen.
at least I think that is the title of it. Doesn't really make a difference, it is a collection of several of his stories.

Too many to count...
The Search for Modern China by Spence, Idoru and Mona Lisa Overdrive by Gibson, Journey to the West, The Analects, and a couple of Dave Barry books. I just finished a book on the Boxer Rebellion, which was really interesting. I'm trying to finish up the books I'd never read while at school so I'll have the fun ones for when I need a break. Oh yeah, I'm about to start the latest Terry Pratchett book. I've put that off for far too long.

Pride of October: What it Was to Be Young and a Yankee by Bill Madden.
Basically he profiles 18 NY Yankees from the past. He interviewed them and they have some interesting stories. I am still early in the book, but it shows promise.

Lila, by Robert Pursig. It's the sequel to Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, which is also an excellent book.
Also, Siddhartha, by Hermann Hesse

Would you believe Oracle DBA 101
I don't how long I've been doing databases, and I'm a Master level Oracle Designer And even with all the fuckin' huge books that I have on it, including on the new platform I have to read this book because it has essential info in it not included in the bigger tech books. Do you know what it's like to have to carry around a DBA 101 book geez, managers won't cut you break. |
