DNA test shows 13-year-old Alfie Patten is not a dad

Alfie Patten, 13, convinced he was a dad
DNA test shows daughter is not his
Has vowed to stick around anyway
A DNA test showed a 13-year-old boy in Britain is not the father of a baby born to a 15-year-old he had unprotected sex with once.

Chantelle Stedman told Alfie Patten, who was 12 when he slept with her, he was her newborn daughter Maisie's father.

The story caused a worldwide media frenzy after it was first reported by Britain's Sun newspaper, while politicians criticised what they called Britain's declining morals.

At first Stedman said Patten was the only boy she had ever slept with, but soon after other teens came forward saying they too could be the baby's father, because they claimed to have had sex with the girl.

It is still not clear who the baby's father is.

Last month a friend of the Stedman family claimed Patten was scammed by the girl's parents who wanted to cash in on the sensational story.

The Sun reported last month that Alfie had been seen wearing a hoodie emblazoned with the message: "I’m the daddy, if not f*** you all I’ll still be there".
after the whole hoo-ha a few months back, news is that Alfie is finally not the father!

what would you do if you were in his parents position? would you encourage your son to stay around?

i certainly wouldnt encourage my son to stay around. the poor kid was going to stay with her just for the sake of the baby, so at some point in time this relationship was doomed to failure.

Still wrapping my head around the fact that the 12 year old is getting some and I'm not!!

But no, I wouldn't stick around if it were me and if it were my kid, I'd grab a cane/belt/shoe ... you get the drift. Also make sure my kid stays the F*** away from that girl ... or any other girl for the time being.

This, of course will be followed by a nice sit down-livid father to son chat.

Hard lesson to learn at 13-people lie.
I don't hold much faith in his parents, but that kid's gonna need some therapy.

fuckin run kid..........

I've never heard of this until now, the kid looks like he's 8 though, pictures of him and the baby's mom together are funny, she's so much bigger than him. Just saw a pic of the hoodie he was wearing, that's funny shit, the middle finger going up the hood.

I've been following this since it broke.. something always sounded fishy to me. Now that he's shown to not be the father, I have to agree that the girls parents were in it for the money. Alfie's parents are well off, while the girls parents are struggling. So when it was found she was pregnant, they wanted the well to do boy to be the father. (theory)

The boy should run. His parents should run. They should get out of the situation before they get stuck with trying to pay for this kid.

he'll find the next big game on playstation and forget that this ever happened to him pretty soon. i dont know about the therapy part. he got laid. nothing happened..he accepted responsibility if it was his...how did this fuck with his head? apart from the media attention maybe?

his parents should be pulling him the fuck away.

i'd then s

If he wants to be there for the kid, great.
If he doesn't, great.
It's entirely his choice.
I don't know if the media attention will impact his choice.
I hope he is happy with whatever path he takes.

Can't say this shocks me too greatly. It seemed odd all along.

I'm sure he could have sex with a lot more attractive girl if he wanted to....

KellyC 03-27-2009 02:02 PM

I can't imagine how a 13-year-old kid can "be there" for his kid, assuming he's the father. Thank god he's not.

dlish 03-27-2009 05:54 PM

he gets pocket change from his dad every week.

from whatever he can spare from that he'll buy a toy for the kid. the rest would come from welfare payments of course.

im just wondering who the father is. she initially said she only slept with alfie. now a few boys have come forward to say it might be theres. this is so comical. what are they teaching these kids at school these days
