I might have another real job!

Well I am just about to leave for an interview for a job to replace my weekend evening strip show.

If I get it (which is looking likely) then I will be working in an adult store selling stuff.

The staff there are great, we all get along really well (I know them all through work and cause this is the same place my SO is working - means I would get to spend every second friday evening with him)

Money is alot lower then what I make gyrating around on a pole but I think the dignity would be a nice bonus. Now that my student loans are paid off (last payment was this feb) I can handle making a bit less money to.

Wish me lucks folks cause I just might need it!

Good luck, Hyacinthe! I've always wanted to work in an adult shop.

Maybe I'll open my own feminist sex shop some day. Seems like the town I live in would go crazy for something like that, yet no such thing exists! Fancy lingerie shops, yes, skeezy adult shop with video arcade in back, yes. But nothing in between.

Hmm.

Anyways, I hope you get the job, and then keep us posted on your adventures as a sex shop clerk.

Snowy: for some reason I think that would interfere with your goals to be an educator. Just a little bit.

Hyacinthe: Hope your interview went well!!

Well, I was thinking more along the lines of something to do many years down the road, like in retirement--the degree I'm pursuing now will qualify me to do health education, after all. :p

Good luck, Hyacinthe! And congrats on paying the student loans off!

And Snowy--it's always been my dream to open a feminist brothel....after my career in politics. ;-)

When do you hear?

I've always wanted to work in a sex shop. Start a blog so I can work there vicariously through you :-)

Hyacinthe 03-05-2009 01:56 AM

Thanks for all the good wishes folks - the interview went very well, guy that owns the place likes me on a personal level so hopefully that will help.

I'll go start that blog for you highdro69
