Do you use either Imageshack or Photobucket?
Do you post images here? If you do, do you use either Imageshack or Photobucket? I'm looking for making some new functions here... need to know which is more used by the community.
neither:
poll added :p |
I had witty-er responses... but this will suffice.
you'll have to forgive me.. my wittiness is failing severely at the moment..
Neither--I use my private webspace from my university when I need to, or the photo album function here.
smugmug all the way
Flickr for most things and photobucket for whatever else.
Photobucket's bandwith regulations are absurd. I use either Imageshack or Oogletoogle.

ive got probably over 3000 images on my photobucket and im yet to hit the quota.
id be interested in seeing what the max is id consider using flickr but for the time being photobucket will suffice |
I've always used Photobucket. I had a few problems the other day, but that was mostly my fault and not PB.
I bandwidth'ed out my photobucket the two times I got featured on lifehacker. Since then any project writeups I make for my blog (or here) are tinypic. Imageshack annoys me.
I use photobucket, but I rarely post images.
I use photobucket because it was the first one I tried, and I didn't want to mess with
Yahoo for some reason. Photobucket does have a lot of ads and weird distacting things that pop up. I wonder if flickr is better in that regard. |
Photobucket for me. Never tried Imageshack.
flckr for shooting the shit, Picasa ... google photos for family pics.

I put all of my own photos and collections of found images onto flickr and everything else goes into the photobucket. |
Is there any way to transfer the images I have on photobucket over to flickr?
I am not that computer savvy yet, I don't know if that was a dumb question. |
I don't think there is...
I use flickr.
Flickr and Picassa
Flickr and Photobucket
oh, that's right...I use Picasa, too but that's only because it is the default album for my blog...but sometimes I will post pictures here from that account.
Photobucket and Flickr.
Photobucket seems so easy for me and that's what I started using pretty much by random choice, plus a couple people recommending it was OK. But what bothered me is that they censored a few pics I put there that were FAR from porn or offensive; hell, I have no doubt they were artistic and in good taste and in no way appropriate for censorship. So I then registered at Flickr and test filed one of PB's censored images there with no issues. I have a lot of pics at PB but may start working more with Flickr due to this absurd censorship issue. |
I use Imageshack for forums but ai always use the "don't use this link" link because I think it cuts out and ad's they may try to insert around my pictures when others are viewing them.

the things that ended up attracting me to smugmug as opposed to flickr and other sites were the added privacy and ease of share. In flickr you can only share full size pics with other people who have pro accounts. And with smugmug you can set different passwords by gallery so you can really customize who gets to see what. Of course, it is a paid service, so there is that to consider.
I only use imageshack for hosting pictures in support of an auction listing. I've never put any of my personal pictures online in the two sites listed in the poll question. I have flickr, but I don't really post to it much. I'm kinda lazy... I guess I use the facebook photo uploader for my pics as well..
I was pointed to photobucket by the lovely maleficent, so never changed since.
Neither, I have my own webserver. See profile for details.
Faster, unlimited storage, 100% control. :) |
well i have used image shack and photobucket they both seem to do the job for me but im thinking about trying flickr since members suggested it lol i didnt vote i dont see a lot of difference between photobucket and image shack cheers
I've always used Photobucket, and being so ocd about keeping things I have multiple accounts for different things (art, avatars, photos, random pictures I need to host, etc) I never really got into imageshack, and I always found photobucket easier and reliable...
