Things I wish I hadn't learned the hard way

* Air bags don't feel like pillows. They feel more like a giant brick in the face.

* After handling hot peppers, wash your hands before having sex.

* Just because a man says "I love you" doesn't mean that he really does.

* Remember the frozen pole on "A Christmas Story?" Popcicles frozen on dry ice stick to your tongue the same way.

* A "slip and slide" without the water is more like a "stick and burn."

So many things I'd like to say I'd take back...but I can't bring myself to say any of them. Where I've been and what I've been through defines much of what I am.

I wish I never found out first-hand what an upper-decker is. (look it up)

going with a recent event:
If your important data is actually "important", you should back it up on more than a western digital external drive or an 80 GB that will choose to die mere days after the WD POS after years of faithful service. The first time I actually needed an SATA connection.
Also USB 1.1 crawls when moving several gigs of data via thumbdrive.
