What do other TFPers look like in your head??

All the TFPers look like their avatars to me, I don't know why, Most especially debaser, he's really scary. I mean, I've seen all the pictures and stuff but when I read a post by halx, I always picture a school girl in little skirt saying these things. Don't even mention bear cubs and curiousbear's posts!!!

Heh I have thought about this before too. I have little cartoon characters of the members whose pictures I've seen going through my head acting out little comic strips. I think that's the best way I can describe it. I sometimes associate a member with their avatar if I haven't seen their picture. Bottom line is, I think of the TFP often and have grown quite fond of the people I have met here!

The cartoony avatars are how I see the other members - strange.... to be part of a forum full of cartoon characters.

Although I associate the avatar with the name if I hear it, I actually have imagined faces for lots of people. Most though are the real faces from "Post Yourself Right Effing Now!"

Great post btw, I think of this often!

I hope I look nothing like my avatar - that would be just disturbing.

When I think of members from TFP (and I do frequently - you guys and gals come up in conversation with me and my friends often ie. "Well I was chatting with CB the other day" or "Well Baraka thinks ...") I think more of the personality that I associate with you rather then your physical appearance.

I kinda like the anonymity of TFP a great deal - I enjoy being a mystery - there is onyl one shot on here where you can actually see what I look like and it'll take you awhile to find it!

Relax lostgirl the post counts goes up strangely quickly - least mine did - does this mean I post / talk too much?

Wait...that's a male?

I'll probably look exactly like my avatar in another 10 or 20 years--assuming I get contacts or laser eye surgery.

It's funny though, for members who have figures in their avatar, I tend to associate the member with it, even if I have seen their photo.

I've seen your real life pics snowy but I sometimes will imagine you with a similar expression to that ninja in your avatar, headband and all.

abaya, well don't we all imagine her wearing one and looking fierce?

Lots of ninjas about it seems!

Every time I see a pic of one of them women on this board it just floors me. I think I should just think about the women of tfp as their avatars, that way I'm not inclined to throw e-game at them. Especially the ones with SOs (i.e. onesnowyowl; I love geek girls in glasses).

Damn, because that would go a long way towards explaining why She-lish ever agreed to marry you. I mean, if you were a Black American inanimate object, how could she resist?

I too picture those that I've seen when I read posts. Some people, however, like Willravel have avatars (or old avatars in his case) that transcend that. Especially cynthetiq's old tribble with a face.

And unfortunately for those of you not in the know, Bill O'Rights looks nothing like either Alison Hannigan or the Schoolhouse Rock character, to our mutual grave misfortune.

No, I'd be flattered. He's the perfect example of an abusive NCO (though a Marine). During my weekend in the army, I had to yell at people but I also applied a little teamwork mentality to it.
