Katyanna, the truth is that men and women do not fill identical roles in society from a physical stand point. I'm afraid there's isn't an equivalence between a man wearing tight pants and a woman wearing no bra, at least as far as I understand.

That said, I do know that tighter pants can accentuate certain physical features of mine. I own several pairs of jeans that are a closer fit and I'm not ignorant as to their uses.

I'll drink to that. I don't see how anyone can dress certain ways without being aware that they'll attract certain types of attention. Pants that accent the assets are a great wardrobe item.

If there's no dress code then there's nothing wrong with stretch jeans - regardless of body type.

If a woman is criticized for wearing to revealing stretch jeans, it probably means that she looks fabulous in them. So what if she didn't look good ? I that case her female colleagues would just have looked at her and think, look at her, she is trying so hard. And there is no way they would correct her for this.

I agree, she is probably big and show a lot of breast activity (if she was wearing a very thick wool sweater), since her supervisor vent so far to correct her. But is that really relevant ?

If she has a nice figure, she also needs to cover her self more ? In that case the spectator or colleagues reaction or the supervisor's fear if they should do something improper. Could be the main reason for criticizing her (in addition to jealousy).


As a male and not being overweight (i thought) even i do show some activity. I most take up jogging again LOL.

Jeans with stretch is so common this days. What shall management do, check their employees stretch ?

What if she insisted on that she in fact was wearing a bra, what should her supervisor do then ? Touch her breasts or insist on looking under her sweater ?


I am sure that at least a few of my male colleagues has a very nice butt. And that some of the woman are looking. But i have no absolutely no idea who that man is. I can't tell, i don't look at their butts.
Can a woman please explain to me why a woman would stare at another woman's breasts ? And if she has a big cleavage or has bouncing breasts, why are they so embarrassed ? Is it homophobia ? This isn't the first time i have heard something like this.

In my opinion, it's a question of civil liberty, regardless of what dress code rules may or may not exist. If this woman does not wish to wear a bra, it's her affair and she should have the right not to wear a bra if she so chooses. Men are not required to wear bras (and before you assume the obvious, have you actually looked at the breasts on some over-weight men !) so it would be sexist to enforce women to do so.

If I can be denied a job or fired from a job for long hair, I fail to see how it couldn't be justified for a woman not wearing a bra.

Some people cant dress them selves.

Its that simple, you put rules in place because there *will* be some one out there to abuse it otherwise.

Rules are rules when it comes to a job. You want a paycheck, agree or go else where.

I don't think it should really matter to be honest with you. I mean this may be TMI but there have been many days I have gone to work not wearing underwear. That could easily turn into a sexual harassment case. So there is one day that someone forgets to wash their bra and they have none. I am sure that has happened to alot of women. The managers shouldn't be starring at that anyway. Perky nipples should not be on the managers mind ha ha
