Back from NYC on Black Friday, I bought:

1) Round trip tix from New Haven to Grand Central.
2) Brunch @ City Bakery.
3) 11 pashminas.
4) Tons of wonderful Christmas gift junk from Fishs Eddy (to be shipped home).
5) 4 CDs : Adele, 19; Duffy, Mercy; Edith Piaf, Collection; Billie Holliday, Great Am Songbook.
6) Taxi fare from the library (Yaddo exhibit, continuous rotation. Through 2026, I think) to Met Mus Art.
7) Dinner @ the museum (with the Vermeers!).
8) Taxi to train.

Clear and crisp and easy and fun. It usually is when Mary is along.

Samsung LN40A550!!! 40" HDTV FTW. It was on sale before Black Friday but I did buy it on Black Friday because I was afraid the sale would end afterwards. It did, so I made a good choice. It was $999, marked down by $470!
