Can't we all just get along?
Ok, so this snake doesn't want to eat the hamster it was offered. You'd think governments would do the same to their taxpayers eh? :) With all the wars and infighting in the world today, you wonder sometimes if two rivals in nature can do this, why can't the most advanced species figure it out once in awhile. |
He was probably already full.

I saw a National Geographic special where an alligator, maybe it was a croc, took a turtle hatchling in its mouth, carried to the water, & released it. Pretty cool. |
So we get along for a short period of time. How long should we get along? How long do we need to get along?
Frog and the Scorpion |
An interesting thought from one of the youtube posters:
"Or there could also have been something wrong with the hamster. If snakes feel something strange in the smell of their pray, like a disease, they won't eat it. We have had frozen mice to our snake many times where she has skipped some of them. It is pure logic. " But the snake doesn't seem to be avoiding the hamster. It just isn't eating it. I wish I could understand what they were saying on the video. Like what the snake normally eats with the hamster in the cage, and if this frightens the hamster watching another creature being eaten. I also wonder if the snake has ever eaten live prey, or if they've always been frozen mice. |
Good reading, Cynth. Ty for that insight. I wikitrailed it a long ways xD
