Weirdest Dream Ever.
Ok now that I've started the other thread on personal dreams, what about actual dream while you're asleep dreams?
Awhile back I used to work in a technical role at a large software company. I once had this dream where it was just a normal day - wake up, shower, breakfast, go to work, etc. Nothing out of the ordinary. It felt so real, it didn't even feel like a dream at all. The next morning when I woke up, I was super tired. It was as if I didn't get to sleep at all - you know, those nights where your head hits the pillow and the alarm just goes off right afterwards? Well the creepy thing was that I had deja vu the entire day. It was the same day as in my dream, but I didn't realize it until later on. The same questions from the same customers, except this time I didn't have to actually look up the answers or figure out via troubleshooting. Since I had already "lived" this day the night before, it was creepy how I could pinpoint the exact trouble spots in people's server setups without even having to test or dig around as per normal. It's only ever happened maybe twice, but has anyone else ever had the same thing happen to them? Whenever I get that deja vu feeling, sometimes it feels like I had dreamt about it before, but just didn't remember quite as vividly as the time I described above. Trips me up now and then, but I suppose that's what keeps life interesting eh?

Haha yeah that's weird. I've had dreams within dreams and woke up from the dream, only to then wake up for real. My day wasn't a mirror of the dream, but there were some interesting parallels that I have since forgotten.

I've been through this several times, though usually I never remember all of my dreams. Because of this I often go through my day with a general sense of deja vu, interspersed with moments of realization that I did those things in my dream.
I also think of things before they happen-I think about someone and they call or walk in the restaurant, I think of a song and it plays on the radio (and not the ones they play over and over, sometimes obscure, rarely-played songs). Makes ya' think. |

I dreamed there was a killer lemur hiding in the walls of my uncle's house.. Only his house was different and the lemur wasn't actually a lemur.. I guess my dream couldn't accurately picture what a lemur looked like...

Haha I always find it funny how the brain can substitute one object/animal/etc for another when dreaming.

I get nightmares A LOT... 4 - 5 nights a week maybe... never looked into what could be causing it, but it would be interesting to know. I'm really chilled and easy going in life, so I don't think it's a stress thing.
Most vivid ever... I was being hunted by the cops for a murder I didn't commit, but I knew who the murderer was. Got cornered in a greenhouse and the cops opened fire... I could feel the bullets hit my chest like bricks, lifted my hand to the wound and felt jagged bits of rib bone and warm blood... tried to speak but blood gurgled up in my throat choking me... then blacked out and woke up... :shiver: I dream about my teeth crumbling and falling out pretty often. chris |

I sleep so soundly that once I had a falling dream while sleeping on the top bunk of a bunk bed. In the morning, I woke up trying to climb down, but I was already on the floor, blanket and pillow came with me.
Let's see - background info before another dream. I'm terrified of bugs for some reason. I'd rather take on a dude with a knife in a dark alley than have to deal with let's say, a pissed off bumble bee... anyway I spent the entire dream running around scared for my life killing ridiculously oversized bugs RPG video game style. Maybe I'm going through withdrawals from my video game addiction?

Me too.
I've also had recurring nightmares of elevators doing really freaky shit: flying up through the roofs of buildings, going sideways and flipping in circles. I had a dream as a kid that my house was on fire and one of the toilets was talking to me.

Actually ive had the same exact kind of dream. It felt as if i woke up went to work everything was normal. Even had an irate customer in my dream haha. And would just sit and take payments. I woke up extremely tired and went to work. It wasnt the exact mirror of my dream but it felt like i just worked a doubleshift! As for Dreams of teeth falling out and other weird things. Ive been looking into a website that was very interesting. I was having nightmares everyday for a week straight and it was very vivid and disturbing and i really thought maybe something was telling me something. Here is the link to that site. You probably will find it interesting Dream Moods A-Z Dream Dictionary |

I had vivid dream of a former employee walking back into my business and shooting most of my management. I could feel the blood splattered and smell the burning gunpowder and "seeing" it all happen in slow motion. I didn't get shot but had a body land on me. Needless to say I woke up drenched in sweat and couldn't get back to sleep. What brought it on? I had just fired that employee the week before and he had claimed "He'd go postal on us". (That was shortly after a local postal office shooting)

I have nightmares with a typical theme. I am trapped in a skyscraper type building with a large godzilla-like monster outside trying to tear down the building and pull me out. I run from room to room, window to window, stairwell to stairwell but I don't get away. Its weird because I never get caught, I'm just being chased the whole time. I would be all for blogging dreams ranton.

The weirdest one was not really the dream but what happened afterward. I was talking to a college buddy about a weird dream on gtalk's IM. He said He has some weird dream too so we typed it out and sent our weird dream at the same time. The details were the same thing!!! and I mean, a paragraph long. It was impossible. Exact dream the same night.
