Create Your Own Slasher Film Death Scene!
I posted a journal entry about this, not sure if anyone read it... doesn't really matter. The gist is, I'm making a Halloween fan film because I want to work on my skill before embarking on a more personal project. Also, Halloween is about as low budget as you can go, since the killer is simple (just bought a phenomenal 2008 Don Post mask) and the violence relies on a sort of minimalism that's easy to accomplish with the right angles and sound FX.
Anywho, I'm writing the script right now and I though it would be fun to ask the kind and twisted folks over at TFP to help me out. Right now, I'm working on making a film about the difference between hatred and evil, in the form of a sadistic serial killer going up against the Shape, whose actual motive for being in my little Southern town I have yet to figure out, though I'm going to re-watch the films to figure out how I can bring in some sort of past character to fill in that gap. What I'd like you folks to help me with is adding some substance to the show, to make sure I don't go off-course and actually make something I wouldn't be ashamed to put on YouTube. I think this will be fun for the Halloween fans out there. Here's what I'd like you to give suggestion on: Deaths. I want to kill all of my friends, because I already promised I'd kill them in The Date, which never came to fruition out of sheer artistic frustration on my part (hence my need to do something like this). So, what kind of death would you like to see take place in a Halloween movie? Also, if anyone has any suggestions as to story elements they'd like to see, I'd love to hear them. Other than the basic premise of hateful killer vs pure evil killer, there's really nothing that's sacred, so go ahead and have fun with your delightful imaginations.

Do you want low budget deaths or truly startling yet not disgusting deaths, or do you want over the top gross out?
EDIT: Fuck it, I can't wait. My first short film ever, had a scene where a son commits suicide and the camera is sitting level, and still without moving showing nothing above the knees. It's sitting on a bed facing the door of the bedroom which is slightly open showing a sliver of a living room You see him walk into the living room, hear him, see him pass by the sliver and sit on the couch for a few minutes (it's kind of Gus Van Sant) and he stands and goes to the bathroom, and opens the door to come in (the film begins with the same shot, but when someone finds him so you know it's coming; the anticipation makes you feel sick). He stands in the corner behind the door and ends up slitting his wrists but you can't see it happen, you just hear him whimpering and the blood dripping. It's actually torturous to watch. I always felt that would translate really well to a horror film. You can see someone standing behind the door, shins down, and see the person out in living room, have it last a painfully long time, and then when she/he walks into the room have the person behind the door kill then, and watch the person shudder and hear them cough and watch the blood slowly. It's super disturbing... much worse then actually seeing it. Thinking about it makes me feel gross.

It's funny, the first scene I wrote involved a double suicide (that goes wrong, actually), so I might just steal your idea.
In response to the first question, I like restrained violence. I don't like seeing all of it unless I'm watching a comedy, so your idea actually works beautifully. Now I really want to see that short.
