People you DISLIKE and WHY

Put your dislike list down here and say why you dislike them. (put one main reason down, dont go ranting)

just post your list and dont criticize others lists (unless you really really have to; what i mean is dont argue too much).

anyway, here's my list:

george w. bush - for his efforts to take down the wall of seperation
john ashcroft - for raping our civil liberties
clarence thomas - for being a complete idiot that doesnt know wtf he's doing. his actions makes him look like he's trying to get into the KKK
jesse jackson & al sharpton - for exploiting the black population. they're making african americans seem as 2nd class citizens.

Hate is a strong emotion, and it has it's place.
Boy George Bush- Outright deception, for leading a war under false pretenses, purely for financial gain for him and those in the inner circle of the administration.
Dick Cheney- Same, more so because it is my beleif that he is the brains and brawn behind these machinations, Bush purely putting a "human", public support face on this schemata.
John Ashcroft- Raping the Bill of rights, ripping various freedoms away from citizens under the rubric of safety, via the "patriot act".
Gross misnomer.

geep 06-24-2003 08:16 AM

I don't hate anyone. Life's just too short, and hate takes way to much effort.

Macheath 06-24-2003 08:17 AM

John Howard - For making Australia feel like South Africa under apartheid.

Paul Wolfowitz - the lunatic fringe has finally seized the driver's seat of the foreign policy establishment and is careening down the highway with a bottle of bourbon in one hand and a beretta in the other.

John Ashcroft - Who doesn't?

Pacifier 06-24-2003 08:37 AM

Bush & the Gang for lying (<a href="http://www.heise.de/tp/english/inhalt/co/15062/1.html">Link</a>) to their people and getting away with it.

Aznar and Blair for beeing Bush' lap dogs

Lebell 06-24-2003 08:39 AM

I don't think I truely hate anyone.

I don't hate any individual. Hate is a self-destroying emotion.

I don't care for our government when it allows some of the things to take place that are currently ongoing. I hate the idea of a Congress that is so party oriented that it plays politics over the will and needs of the people. For example - The current BS over Judicial appointees - Get it over with. The President did what he is required to do by law. He submitted their appointments to Congress - Congress now needs to do its job and needs to continue to do its job in a much more timely manner. I don't give a damn how they vote - I just want them to stand up in the Senate and House and cast their votes - I want the vote polled - they should give the reason behind their vote and that's it - just do their damned job. Our government operates on a system of checks and balances - over the years a lax and lazy legislative branch has forfeited many of its powers to the executive branch. That is a done deal - those powers will never be relinquished. That is no reason for Congress to pout and try to hold the judicial branch hostage and blackmail the executive by refusing to exercises the powers they retain. Congress has total control over government with power of the purse strings - that is more than enough to provide and adequate balance.

As for John Ashcroft - My feelings are the same as those of you I normally disagree with - he is a joke! But his power is totally controlled by the other branches of government. I am hoping, and soon, that the president cuts him loose - he is in no way an asset and is most certainly a liability.

As for the "professionally black blacks" - they are no ones friend but their own bank accounts. It is easy to question why they are allowed to represent the black segment of our population - they have done far more harm than good and - how do you spell hypocrite?

The smelly huge kid in 5th grade who beat me up and stole my lunch money. That's right, George Bush!

Hate is a strong word, but there are a few people I can't stand.

James Carville - for just being a general ass.

Bill Clinton - for his pomposity and willingness to lie to the American people and pervert the justice system by acting as if perjury and obstruction are no big deal.

Dick Gephardt - for running as a pro-life candidate in his house district for a few terms and then changing his views in order to climb the ranks of the party. Also, for his recent statement that he would use Executive Orders to circumvent the Supreme Court.

Al Gore, John Kerry and the host of others who are quick to say something because it gets them press at the time and rallies whichever group to which they are speaking, even if it can be well documented that they have made statements on the Senate floor to the contrary.

Gov. Bob Holden (MO) - for being the first Governor in the history of MO to veto an entire budget sent to him by the legislature because it didn't include tax increases.

Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson - As the author of this thread pointed out, they exploit the black population.

And of course, Terrorists and Tyrants around the world who think it's ok to murder innocent civilians to make a point. For those people I do have a truly burning hate.

I dislike all the biased, subjective opinion writer's in the media who lack any semblence of journalistic integrity and would rather divide people with their onesided bullshit than intellectually trying to find solutions to bring people together of whom they have an opinion of.

XenuHubbard 06-24-2003 10:16 PM

Considering the above post, I find your sig to be very amusing.

Also, I thought that Republicans are supposed to be the evil bigoted anti-everyone hate-filled party, but all I see here are hateful Democrats. :D

I don't actively hate anyone as it is a draining emotion...it does no good for the person feeling it or the person receiving it.
But...I think I could easily hate anyone who harmed my kids...no let me rephrase that....I could easily kill anyone who harmed my kids!
Oh...and anyone who is cruel to animals....not a big fan of them.

Hatred paralyzes life; love releases it. Hatred confuses life; love harmonizes it. Hatred darkens life; love illumines it.
--Martin Luther King, Jr.

Life is short enough, don't waste your energy on hating each other but learn to live with each others faults and live in peace.

They're rioting in Africa,
They're starving in Spain.
There's hurricanes in Florida,
And Texas needs rain
The whole world is festering
With unhappy souls.
The French hate the Germans,
The Germans hate the Poles;
Italians hate Yugoslavs,
South Africans hate the Dutch,
And I don't like anybody very much!

But we can be tranquil
And thankful and proud,
For man's been endowed
With a mushroom-shaped cloud.
And we know for certain
That some lovely day
Someone will set the spark off,
And we will all be blown away!

They're rioting in Africa,
There's strife in Iran.
What nature doesn't do to us
Will be done by our fellow man!

National Brotherhood Week

by Tom Leher

Oh, the white folks hate the black folks,
And the black folks hate the white folks.
To hate all but the right folks
Is an old established rule.

But during National Brotherhood Week, National Brotherhood Week,
Lena Horne and Sheriff Clarke are dancing cheek to cheek.
It's fun to eulogize
The people you despise,
As long as you don't let 'em in your school.

Oh, the poor folks hate the rich folks,
And the rich folks hate the poor folks.
All of my folks hate all of your folks,
It's American as apple pie.

But during National Brotherhood Week, National Brotherhood Week,
New Yorkers love the Puerto Ricans 'cause it's very chic.
Step up and shake the hand
Of someone you can't stand.
You can tolerate him if you try.

Oh, the Protestants hate the Catholics,
And the Catholics hate the Protestants,
And the Hindus hate the Moslems,
And everybody hates the Jews.

But during National Brotherhood Week, National Brotherhood Week,
It's National Everyone-smile-at-one-another-hood Week.
Be nice to people who
Are inferior to you.
It's only for a week, so have no fear.
Be grateful that it doesn't last all year!

MSD 06-26-2003 09:11 PM

Anyone who treats partisan politics and the goals of their party as more important than the well-being and will of tthe people.

Anyone who holds bigoted views that prevent the world from coming closer together instead of falling apart.

Both sides have people guilty of these, and both sides should remove those people and replace them with people who can get work done.

The Atomic Boy 06-26-2003 09:23 PM

Grace Hopper -- I do not know if she is Satan himself taking on other forms or perhaps one of his spawns but she is evil incarnate. She created COBOL which I loathe with a bitter passion. If you don't know what COBOL is you're lucky and should pray nightly that you never have to find out.

silverback 06-26-2003 09:37 PM

I agree with everyone who is opposed to real hate. To me it is an emotion that is more destructive to the individual, serving no rational purpose. Most people I have known in life who expressed that they hated other people were miserable people in their personel life.

KillerYoda 06-27-2003 04:10 AM

I hate anyone who says "libary" instead of "library."

Everyone else, while loathing them a little, I can deal with.

ARTelevision 06-27-2003 05:01 AM

note: the original topic was about hating. That's why the responses were as they were.

it's now a different topic.
