SF MoMa show
In January SF MoMa had a show of Joseph Cornell! And in June they will have an extensive showing of Frida Kahlo to celebrate her 100th birthday. If anyone is interested I think it runs thru Sept - the link is below:

i love joseph cornell's stuff.
his film, rose hobart, is fabulous--watch it here: http://www.ubu.com/film/cornell.html both the philadelphia moma and the art institute of chicago museyroom have his boxes--the latter has a pretty big collection of some of his best ones. go go go to this... |
Hey rboy. That film is fab! I hadnt seen it, and it really is brilliant isnt it? My first thought was it was another assemblage, another box. In reading the text, I see that I wasn't the only one. To tell you the truth, its the best film ive seen in a long time. I like everything about it - the score, the images, the idea, everything. Thats not surprising though is it. Thanks.
Don't you wish you could have been at the screening with Dali? |
