Also for what its worth, we've had a lot of ice as well mixed in this massive dump-loads of snow.

Hope these work, I currently only have them hosted on facebook.

It's snowing again.

Here are some picks.
This is a few days after the big storm so the streets are cleaner and some of the snow on has been cleared from the side of the road. You can still get a good idea of how much snow there has been.

Getting more snow now in the Ottawa Valley, I'll try and get some pics later.

We just broke our record here, and are quickly headed towards topping 450 inches for the year. I just told my boss I'm taking the afternoon off, and am going to go play on the mountain all afternoon.

Vail was utterly amazing yesterday. I'm on my 6th or 7th consecutive epic powder day.

Driving home sucked, but it's a small price to pay.

Esoteric 03-14-2008 12:29 PM

None at all.

Been getting a lot of rain lately though, and it's raining now.

Que. man faces firearm charge in 'snow rage' case

Updated Tue. Mar. 11 2008 5:22 PM ET

CTV.ca News Staff

A 63-year-old Quebec City man is accused of becoming so furious about his neighbour's snow being blown into his yard that he brandished his firearm.

Local authorities say the man is accused of getting out his 12-gauge shotgun after a snow-removal worker hired by a neighbour blew snow into his yard.

The alleged incident, which occurred Sunday, followed a record-breaking snowfall. It's the second time a snow fight may have turned ugly in Quebec City. In January, a man was charged for choking an elderly neighbour after she blew snow on his lawn.

But police say even they're stunned by the latest allegation.

"It was a storm, all right, a storm in the extreme,'' said Quebec City police Const. Catherine Viel, adding that they've never seen anything like it.

Police allege the man became fed up when a snow-removing contractor accidentally blew the white stuff onto his property. He began yelling and banged on the tractor door with a shovel.

She apologized, but the man allegedly went to his garage and grabbed his shotgun, authorities say. Police say he then took out his gun and pretended to cock it.

She got scared and called police, who arrested the man for negligent use of a firearm. Police also seized about a dozen other weapons from the man's home. He's apparently a gun collector.

The man is expected to appear in court in the coming weeks. Quebec City has broken a 45-year-old snowfall record this winter after receiving 460 centimetres of the white stuff.
Even peace lovin' Canadians are starting to lose it.

Here in southern part of Wisconsin we hit an all time record this year. We got around 80-90" of snow. A lot of it has melted now.

I'm ready for summer.

Out here in Newfoundland, we have a traditional St. Patrick's Day blizzard known as "Sheila's Brush". Every year, without fail, St. Patrick's Day has a wicked blizzard. This year, is no exception! We had it start this year last week on Thursday, got about 10 cm, Friday dumped a little more, Saturday was clear and it started overnight. Sunday we got about 20-25 cm, it's supposed to be clear tonight and then in the afternoon of St. Patrick's Day, Sheila's Brush arrives in force with 90-125 km/h winds and a predicted snowfall of 50cm!!!! I'll get some photos if I can get out the door!

We'd better not get another blast of winter, because I literally have nowhere to put the snow!

I'm in Ottawa... I WAS in thailand, in sunny 34 C Phuket when all that snow fell.

I got home saturday after a 30+ hour trip and had to shovel 2 vehicles out of 3 foot snow drifts in the laneway... needless to say, I wanted to back to thailand the instant I saw it.

Here's a shot after the first part of Sheila's Brush passed through. We got off lightly here in the Capital, we got about 30 cm and winds were only about 90 km/h. The snow has been followed by 2 days of freezing rain!

In New Hampshire we have had over 110 inches.

We are less than 2 inches away from the highest snowfall in over one hundred years and still about 11 inches off the all time record of 122 inches set in 1873-74.

It's snowing today so we still have a chance.

My mother who lives in the Laurentian Mountains has piles of snow as high as her windows all around the house! The snow clearers simply don't know where to put it anymore.

The biggest problem in downtown Montreal however are the sidewalks. The borough is simply not doing enough to ensure the sidewalks are properly cleared of snow and ice. I've seen a lot of people stumble to the ground, but luckily no one was seriously hurt... yet!
