Thank you!
For those of you who don't know, today is International Women's Day. The last picture fills me with homesickness; it is taken in the Skagit Valley, I'm sure of it. |
Ooh...pretty :)
Is there something particularly special about March 8th (except that it is my hubby's birthday)? Edit: Nevermind...I just saw snowy's post. I love that last picture too...tulips are my favorite flower. |
Ooooh, flowers!
|
Aww, thanks, Logan!
I love flowers!!! I especially like that these will never die. :D |
Instead of flowers, could I have some chocolate? Flowers make me sneeze.

|
Beautiful. Nice to look at rather than ugly discolored 10 day old snow mounds... Wisconsin sucks at the moment.
Thanks! Happy Women's Day! |

You go girls. |
love the Passion flowers especially...
such marvels..thank you! |
What a wonderful surprise!
Simple but beautiful and just in time to help remember that Spring is on its way - even when there's 12 inches of snow on the ground and more to come! |
Suck-up.
:) And enjoy your day, ladies. |
Thank you LoganSnake. It was raining yesterday and waking up to these and a little more sun is very cheering. To all my fellow girl rebels - you rock!

Happy Day

* * * * * No other group in America has so had their identity socialized out of existence as have black women... When black people are talked about the focus tends to be on black men; and when women are talked about the focus tends to be on white women. -bell hooks |
You're all very welcome. ^_^

this your song Halx?
I woke up this morning with a bad hangover And my penis was missing again. This happens all the time. It's detachable. [background singing begins: "detachable penis" over and over] This comes in handy a lot of the time. I can leave it home, when I think it's gonna get me in trouble, or I can rent it out, when I don't need it. But now and then I go to a party, get drunk, and the next morning I can't for the life of me remember what I did with it. First I looked around my apartment, and I couldn't find it. So I called up the place where the party was, they hadn't seen it either. I asked them to check the medicine cabinet 'cause for some reason I leave it there sometimes But not this time. So I told them if it pops up to let me know. I called a few people who were at the party, but they were no help either. I was starting to get desperate. I really don't like being without my penis for too long. It makes me feel like less of a man, and I really hate having to sit down every time I take a leak. After a few hours of searching the house, and calling everyone I could think of, I was starting to get very depressed, so I went to the Kiev, and ate breakfast. Then, as I walked down Second Avenue towards St. Mark's Place, where all those people sell used books and other junk on the street, I saw my penis lying on a blanket next to a broken toaster oven. Some guy was selling it. I had to buy it off him. He wanted twenty-two bucks, but I talked him down to seventeen. I took it home, washed it off, and put it back on. I was happy again. Complete. People sometimes tell me I should get it permanently attached, but I don't know. Even though sometimes it's a pain in the ass, I like having a detachable penis. [background voices continue to sing "detachable penis" for a while, then out] http://www.tfproject.org/tfp/showthr...87#post2411187 |
Thank you. :)

I know it being Int. Women's Day is the reason behind this thread, but why is it that society thinks only women love flowers?
this is my favorite flower: http://www.sierraclub.org/ansel_adam...her/orchid.jpg http://bp2.blogger.com/_O3F0fH5AGXQ/...ost+Orchid.png http://personalpages.bellsouth.net/f...sks/ghost4.jpg the ghost orchid |
ohhh shivers shivers shivers...
bless you bless you bless you for posting that... of course women are not the only ones who go orgasmic over flowers. |
Thank you Logan! I love snow but we've had enough this year in Michigan. I can't wait for spring and flowers/gardening.
Sion: That Orchid is gorgeous and remind's me that I need to watch "Adaptation". Men that like flowers=awesome! |
Gorgeous! Thank you. :)

Wow, there's a day for women? Not just Mother's Day? This is something I have to remember.
The ghost orchid is spectacular. Crazy that it lives in florida swamps - seems like one of the most dreary habitat to come across a flower so breath-taking. Makes sense that it's epiphytic and has no leaves - they wouldn't see much light anyway.
