The networks I'm refering to does NOT include the cable channels. There are 4 main networks and a couple of small ones. These are the channels you find listed under "Basic Channels" in your newspaper

what's your favorite network and why?

i like fox mostly because of their awesome network sports coverage (NOT talking about fox sports net).

fox is also the underdog, and i like to root for the underdog.

nbc comes in a close 2nd

Fox all the way. The only other network that has a show worth watching is NBC with scrubs.

But, in the options provided, I guess NBC cause I enjoy their sports line-up.

Sci-fi, but only for MST3K. That's all I watch.

I like the "NOTA" network.

I rarely watch tv but normally its upn for simpsons and king of the hill reruns.

and personally i love the space channel
dont know if you guys get that down in the states...

if you get a decent antenna and u live close to the broadcasting stations, u should be able to pick up the major networks.

I mostly don't watch TV.
Which is ironic, because I used be a big TV person.
If anything, I just use it to watch a movie or two.

It just doesn't matter anymore.

Fox due to bringing out new and better shows.

I work for MTV... CBS is a part of the Viacom family so it gets my vote.

Since Viacom has purchased CBS, it's gotten alot better...

If i didn't work for Viacom... I'd have to say none, because I don't like broadcast TV.

Network TV sucks. I have't watched it in years. Your poll should have "none of the above".

whichever one has CSI. I just know its on channel 12 here. Thats the only show i can think of that i watch on the networks

If Im watching it's either one of the Discovery Channels, TLC, or History channel

I watch MTV for "Punked" and Sci-Fi for "Scare Tactics"

If I had to pick one, I picked Fox. Personally though, I'm pretty appalled by the crap that network television puts out on the airwaves for us to view, meanwhile anything WORTH watching is either shelved or cancelled after just a few episodes.

Don't really like TV, but I used to watch Smallville on WB. I'll start watching it again when the new season starts :thumbsup:

Fox. They have 24, Fastlane (since cancelled. bastards), Keen Eddie, American Idol, the best NFL coverage, the best Nascar coverage (NBC's sucks) and The Shield (ok, so its Fx. whatever).

Edit: Looking at the poll results, it looks like Fox is definitely appealing to their targeted 18-39 demographic :)

...Fox is winning? Sorry but that's really sad. They have, at best, 3 good shows.

I like ABC, I tend to watch it more than anything.

I just like Fox alot for their comedies, but they are also definitely the most ridiculously over the top with these damn reality shows. That shit annoys me, but Fox is still tops.

Fox has the best sunday night lineup it gets me through the week. I still can't believe they got rid of Family Guy, so I guess Cartoon Network would be my second favorite since they hold Family Guy now.

I would have voted Fox, but the ignorant short sighted bastards cancelled Firefly aftergiving it zero promotion and completely fucking up the programme order of the one series they comissioned, then only partly aired.

Fox carried out one of the most inventive and meticulously planned fuckups since Earl Haig recommended advancing slowly in lines toward German Machine Guns and THEN claim Firefly didn't make the ratings!!!

Not a big TV person, haven't watched anything besides news for a long while. Weird since we own a big screen. I watch a bunch of DVD movies though. My vote goes to NBC 'cause Conan O' Brien's on there. Haven't watched his show in a while, but it's hilarious.

i don't watch any of those. aside from the very few funny shows they run (simpsons and others like it), the only thing they show are retarded sitcoms, retarded "reality" shows or retarded "cop" shows. they are all the same.

which is also on TNN since that's also a Viacom product

and yes, ESPN is owned by ABC/Capital Cities.
