Tilted Beat
I got this strange idea. Let me know if you're willing to work on this.
1) Everyone submits a short sound byte. 2) A very talented composer takes all the sound bytes and arranges them into a little song. 3) Hell, everyone who wants to give it a shot makes their own song. 4) We display the songs here. For a little inspiration, listen to Deadly Media by Hexstatic: http://www.splitscreen.us/2005/09/hexstatic_deadl.html |
As fucking impressive as that was...
I'm sure it took a really long time to do. |
I've done this sort of thing before. :)

Cool idea. I'm not so much on the mixing, but I'd be willing to help out in some capacity or another.
|
I have Fruity Loops, but no talent :(.
|
What kind of byte are we talking about? Vocal? Instrumental?
|
I'd so, so so, be down with this.

Give me something to go on and I'll put something together. Lat time I plugged my bass into the computer, smoke came out of the sound card, but if I mic the amp, I should be OK. I could also just do a vocal sample, and I'll make sure my brother lugs his amp up here and does something on the guitar (I hope you like death metal!)

nice.
the microsound list has a nice little wiki set up for collective projects: have a look and steal freely of the format, methinks. this could be fun. i had an idea the other day: put an mp3 recorder inside my demon vase, the one that makes piano notes splinter and travel upward, and record the interior. i even designed a little stand for it. so i'll have some strange elements to add. and i look forward to manipulating other materials. someone has to hold down the fort in terms of squall and white noise. |
There's also Splice.

sweet...hope i got my adapter so i can plug my guitbox into my pc.

I talked to my brother about it and he agreed to work with me on a submission. Death Penis will contribute.
