Anybody have a good dentist story?

My grandfather is a retired dentist. He is the most gentle and kind man on earth.


He used to say that because I saw my dentist everyday that I only had to brush my teeth twice a year.

I once jerked off a dentist.

Did you give yourself the gas first?

umm...don't you need teeth to have cavities????

I've had 4 root canals. Only the first one hurt and that's because of an active infection in the nerve couteracted the numbing agent used. The others were no big deal.

Seriously... it didn't hurt much.

Well maybe a little afterwards, and then in the wallet. But don't get put off, it looks worse than it is, at least (I think).

But I think you need to ensure you have a good dentist first eh. One who does this reasonably often. It helps I think if you have gone to the same guy/gal for a few years and trust them.

ive had two, my last one was last week. Absolutely NO pain, the dentist was a miracle worker...My tooth wasnt even sore afterwords.

It sure hurts the wallet, especially when you usually need a crown afterwards.

I've had two over the years. Neither was bad except for all the time in the chair and having to go back. It was the same dentist. She gave a shot to numb the area and then gave several more right after and during the procedure. If anything it took forever for all that to wear off. Gas sure helps the process!!!! Some music doesn't hurt, either.

yep, that's the way they should be done. The last few I've had have been like that. :thumbsup:

Honestly the hardest part about doing a root canal was keeping the patients awake.

Only if you have a massive acute infection should you get those horror stories of pain.

That's what happened to me. The infection was really bad and the novacaine wasn't working. The only thing more painful than that root canal was the kidney stone I passed a year later.
