Solving a technical problem.
"I love you" in the morning.
Afternoon sex.

A hot soak in a bath after a long, stressful day.

A warm blanket and a stack of good movies.
Dessert, especially containing strawberries or raspberries or whipped cream (all of the above, if it can be managed).

true moments of joy and pleasure can not be described in words...or can not be described to others

a strong hug from a friend, or just a smile to let you know that your friend doesn't have a care in the world at that moment.

oh, and a sammich.

The forbidden kiss, one that the two of you know will change everything you've ever known about each other, but at the time the two of you just don't care anymore. It has to be done to continue progress...

waking up to the ultimate beauty imaginable and not 'awakening' again and realizing it's real; not a dream.

to see hateful, cruel people realize life is a good thing. to see a pacifist who lets himself get whipped repeatedly stand up for himself.

to see a silly baby anything go about its business (normally eating some they shouldn't)

food is a good thing at times, but its the least of pleasures..

for some it is... and for others, perhaps not... sometimes it is... and sometimes it is not... it doesn't really matter...

there is no right or wrong here... each person has their own joy at any given moment.... there is no judgement... no "shoulda, oughta, coulda"...

the simplicity of joy... for exactly what it is in that moment... to experience it's beauty... that is my wish with this thread...

Realizing that it is the first time that every moment happens.

driving around on your favorite girls lunch break after bringing her lunch and knowing that even though you are not together yet, that at that exact moment, you are in the only place you've ever wanted to be...in her presence. Warming until she has to go back to work, then it's empty until next time.

So sad...but it gives me something to look forward to I suppose

Hehehe...there is a psychological study performed on rats, in which they deprive them of sleep for 96 hours then inject them with cocaine - and the rats ejaculate like crazy. I'd imagine that is pretty euphoric, but don't suggest that anyone try it - EVER!

i close my eyes to hear the birds... the pond... and feel the sun warming my skin...

sunny afternoon at the ballpark w/ a hotdog and a pepsi.

Listening to good music, while falling asleep after a long hard day.

Sunny day, hammock in the shade. Good book, tall glass of sweet iced tea, birdsong, wind in the trees. Noplace to go. Nothing to do. Mmmmmmhmmmmm.

A nice turkey sandwich, both sides of white bread with best foods mayo. MMMMM. Maybe mustard sometimes...

taking a nap with a baby sleeping on your belly.

Bike running smooth, wind on my face, sun on my shoulders, long clear road through the country.

cold beer in a frozen frosty glass.

My two year old daughter yelling "Daddy!!" as I come through the door after just having sat in traffic for 30-45 minutes trying to get home after a 9-10 hour work day.

Touching my lover's hand while he sleeps.

The tiny flowerpatch outside my door filled with purple, scarlet, gold, and white flowers.

My almost 3 yr old daughter running to me after a weekend away and says "I'm so glad you're home Moma! I love you."

Making home made bread and kneeding it myself and then the smell of it while it bakes.

Fresh Strawberries or sliced peaches with cold cream.

Swimming in cool water on a hot day and not having to watch for children for just a few moments.

A warm bath and then fresh cool 100% cotton sheets on your bed to go to sleep in after a good days work.

Getting up early in the morning at the cottage and listening the call of the loons on the lake as the early morning mist slowly burns off in the rising sun...

Working on a project with your friends. Then, when everything is done just sitting down, relaxing, drinking and making each other laugh.

Sleep after an all-nighter and two finals.
A book and a blanket on a grey and rainy day.
Sitting around a pizza, watching a movie with your best friends.
Beautiful music after a horrid day at work.

I forgot. Going out to your hunting stand opening morning before the sun rises and watching it slowly rise and shoot beams through the trees. Listening all the while to the sounds of the forest awakening. Then watching a small chickadee land on the branch next to you, then hop to the bill of your hat and peak down over the edge at you. Then watching a deer who is too young walk up to your corn pile and gorge himself on the corn and apples.

Talking with the woman i love about our plans for the future.. Our children and home.
Especially one describing moment, of her describing to me what to expect when i got home. My two sons come running from the garden calling for me.

the feeling of euphoria when you realize who you are and who you are to become

laughing all night with your TRUE friends

Smiling at someone for no reason, or better yet for love.

Seeing your dog lick your cat.

Being safe in your own home.

Writing poetry and reciting it to someone you love.

To secretly see your sister slip money into your coat pocket because you're financially strapped.

Crystal Palace park on a warm hazy summer day, not a cloud in the sky, lying back with a box of chicken and chips, a bag full of munch and a coupla bottles of Stella and Smirnoff Ice.

The calmness, warmth, and embrace; the first kiss and the look in Galaxygirl's eyes, and feeling of her lifes beat, after coming back from HER SPACE.

~a candle-lit bubble bath at the end of a crazy day
~sitting in a hot tub while it's snowing....all peaceful and silent mmmmmmmm! :)

For me, joy and pleasure is the opposite-having snowfights with close friends, and having strangers join in!!! Brilliant.

Doing chores for my mummy and seeing her gratefulness.

Rocking my baby sister to sleep.

Writing songs and producing beats. It's my own little world, fashioned how I want it to be.

Tucking under the cool bedsheets after an exhausting and happy day.

There's so many more, but I can't think of them right now!

Giving in to your cravings and smoking your first cigarette in 14 hours.

Doing whatever it takes to get a giggle out of my son, including tickling, making ape noises, or singing the Care Bears song in a falsetto.

A can of coke, at a specific temperature so that it's so cold, yummy crunchy icy bits start to form.

A snow day, there is nothing better than a snow day.

simply holding the woman you love in your arms, or waking up and seeing her sleeping... so peaceful, so beautiful... i long for those days again.

The sound of air rushing into a 440 as the engine valiantly tries to suck the hood into the carbs. And the wonderful feel of warm air on your legs that blows out from under the car.

The smell of napalm in the morning. Oh...was that already used?
Ok, then......beautiful sexy women, anywhere and smiling.

Little arms wrapped around my neck with a tiny voice saying, "I love you mommy."

Waking up to my lover caressing me.

Being with friends and family, playing games, laughing, enjoying the moment.

Receiving a phone call from him in the middle of the afternoon simply because he is thinking of me and wants to tell me he loves me.

Cuddling with my children in front of a movie or favorite tv show.

And:

Sitting on your butt, doing nothing - and having no plans to do so for two weeks - after working that same butt off for months.

a mellow sunday afternoon in the summer... friends, barbaque, music you listened to as a kid coming from cars you thought you'd never own and your favorite girl handing you a 40oz mickeys

I have to say, for me, waking up holding a loved one. I think that's the most joy that I've ever experienced in my life.

Now for pleasure. . .that's what happened the night before. ;)

eating cold pizza in bed with my kids and watching great old movies all morning long :)

I have to say, every one of these made me smile. And now for my list:

putting on warm socks that just came out of the dryer...rolling over in bed, and he rolls over too and reaches out to hold me, still half-asleep...going camping, and waking up to fresh sunshine and birds singing...a cool night, a bonfire, a comfy sweater, and good friends...kisses...a pair of soft, perfectly broken in jeans...a shelf full of books that are well-read and well-loved...sitting at the bookstore with a cup of coffee, a good book, and someone playing acoustic guitar...knowing, without a doubt, that you're loved.

Standing on a mountain summit with the wind blowing cold on your face knowing you had just completed one of the many goals you had set for yourself to accomplish in your lifetime.

:)... that brought back many memories and put a smile on my face... thanks...

Quiting a job that I hate and screaming with joy in the parking lot to absolutely no one in particular.

My son's face when I walk in the door in the evening.

Pineapple.

Finding a simple solution to help your child overcome an "insurmountable" problem.

Hearing someone tell you they love you, and mean it.

Being kissed or hugged, sincerely.

Being in on a joke with someone.

The crisp scent of freshly cleaned sheets mingled with the soft fragrance of my body soon after a shower. Add some delightfully mellow music and I'm a happy woman.

Running alone just after sunrise on a country road miles from civilization. The road is covered with freshly packed snow. Ice hangs from the bare tree branches. Your breath misting, and the only sounds are you breathing and the soft pish pish pish of your footsteps.

nice one... *soft smile*... haven't been a regular runner in years... i miss those mornings...
