Part of me cried inside.

When an MMO becomes a backdrop for a pickup truck add run two Sunday night football games in a row, the world as in fact turned upside down. I weep for my little piece of nerdvana that the internet was 15 years ago. What hast thou become!

Did you miss the South Park WoW episode or something? I don't think its too remarkable; WoW is the one game out there that can attract nerds and non-nerds alike. I met my wife while playing WoW and she's no nerd. So, I don't think the commercial violates the sanctity of nerdiness. Rather, I venture that all those new sitcoms and nerd dramas that are popping up about geeks are more atrocious.

The Leeroy thing was staged.
Didn't think it was funny then, less funny now.

It's a weird ad, but that's all. And that seems to be de rigueur these days...

Aw, ratbastid's video got taken down before I could look at it.
I am fascinated by the Chocolate Drums ad. It's so absurd. The whole point of the commercial, as far as I can tell, is to be so weird that it's memorable without being offensive. To have people talk about it. Because, really, when was the last time you watched a commercial and it convinced you to buy a product? It's all about putting the product in front of you so you think about it when you go to make your choice. And that's what the truck/WoW commercial is -- it's weird and it gets your attention and you remember it when you go to buy a truck.

That's pretty disgusting. Reminds me of that South Park episode. You know you've reached the bottom when you can't take 4-5 mins to take a piss or a shit so instead you do it in a 2 liter or on a trash bag.

When I'm playing NWN and I have to take a piss, I just type "afk."
Then again, I play on a heavy rp server, so that's usually when we're in the middle of nowhere talking about the current problems Cormyr is having with the orcs, and that it's hindering the rebuilding of Marsember....or something along those lines, anyway.

Books?
D&D? Boobies? That's everything a man needs, right there.
