That's sad. RIP Brett Somers

I always liked her on Match Game. She seemed to be a gutsy woman and a wry sense of humor. I didn't know she was married to Jack Klugman, I like him, too ...my sympathies to Mr. Klugman and her family and friends.

Good Gravy Marie
Brett and Charles Nelson Reilly always sat next to each other on Match Game. He passed away in May of this year. May you both rest in peace....... |

I love The Match Game Episodes with Brett and Charles. Sure I didn't start watching until 20 years after they aired, but It's not my fault, I wasn't born in '75. I couldn't stand any of the modern game shows when I was in my early teens but I could watch reruns of TMG all day long. It felt like I was getting away with something dirty watching the show. I still do.. I don't know why.. with all the "real" sex and stuff on TV, the double-entendre's always seem dirtier to me..
RIP Brett and Charles. |
what was fun for me....was that I did watch them in the original run but an 8 year old doesnt understand that kind of stuff (or they didnt when I was 8 lol) and even though I watched them all then, its fun to rewatch now because I DO understand and its like a whole other show. Kinda like watching this is spinal tap when it came out and rewatching it with the commentary on the dvd

i watch the reruns now...good stuff
