Grandpa to Hilton Family: No soup for you!
There seems to be some justice in the world, that is if you can call it justice. I'd call it at least trying to keep some honor to your family name and word.

Good guy. It's good to know her BS isn't hereditary, because you know she's going to have a litter one of these days.
If I had a granddaughter like that, I'd donate my money to contraceptive time machine research. |
That's right! NoSoup for you!

Fan-Fucking-Tastic!!!
Old Billionaires: 1 Stupid Sluts: 0 The only downside is that some trash tabloid magazine/entertainment show will still pay the bitch millions to be her stupid self. Realistically, it's the rest of the Hiltons that did nothing "wrong" that suffer. |

Back on topic - meh. It just proves that the Tom Brokaw is right about The Greatest Generation. We needed one of them to ride in to liberate us from Paris. Makes a certain amount of poetic sense, doesn't it. |

This is the greatest news... Ever!
Oh what I'd pay to see the look on Paris' face right now. |

Is there a better source for this information? Are we sure this is true and not some blogger's sour grapes? I'm not familiar with the linked site. :)
Edit: I'm not denying the validity of this story, by the way... I am just trying to keep my glee under wraps until I see a CNN byline. ;) |

PARTY princess Paris Hilton is $60 million out of pocket after her billionaire grandfather - appalled by her jail term for drink-driving - axed her inheritance. Family patriarch Barron Hilton was already embarrassed by his granddaughter's wild behaviour - notably when her home sex video was leaked on the internet. But the 79-year-old considered her 23-day sentence last month the final straw. "He was, and is, extremely embarrassed by how the Hilton name has been sullied by Paris," said Jerry Oppenheimer, who wrote a biography of the clan called House Of Hilton. "He now doesn't want to leave unearned wealth to his family." Hilton senior, the only member of the family left with a sizeable stake in the huge hotel chain, has let it be known that he intends to donate to charity the $2.4 billion he will gain from this month's sale of the company to private equity firm Blackstone. The money will go to the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, the charity set up in the name of the founder of the family business. Not that Paris will care too much, though. US sources predict she will quadruple the $8.3 million business bible Forbes estimates she earned last year. http://www.ecanadanow.com/news/enter...-20070730.html Los Angeles (eCanadaNow) - Conrad Hilton, the billionaire great-grandfather of socialite Paris Hilton is apparently fed up with her party ways and has cut her out of his will. "He was, and is, extremely embarrassed by how the Hilton name has been sullied by Paris," says Jerry Oppenheimer, author of "House Of Hilton". "He doesn't want to leave unearned wealth to his family." But it's not all Paris' fault; the slam looks like it was planned by the old man all along. Conrad has decided to cut not only great-granddaughter Paris out of his $2.4 billion fortune, but ALL of the family. He has decided to give his money to his charitable foundation rather than to the long line of spoiled Hilton brats. Alas, Paris' grandfather Barron Hilton is still sitting on $1 billion dollars himself. His son, successful businessman Rick Hilton, who is Paris' dad, is one of 8 children and still stands to inherit a cool $125 million from Barron. So there's plenty of money in the Hilton clan, and Paris is likely still raking in the coin by charging $100,000 just to show up at a party for an hour. |

She'd look just like this since she always looks the same, unless she's going to jail, then she's had a different picture http://www.strangecelebrities.com/im...ent/117446.gif creepy!!!!!      |

1. That gif is very creepy. 2. I did look at the site, but I didn't see anything. Then I looked again just now, and still didn't see anything. I could just be an idiot, though. However, I repeat, I wasn't denying the validity of the link you posted, only withholding the cartwheels of sour-grape joy that I was originally tempted to perform, until I could be sure once and for all that my lifelong quest to ruin Paris Hilton's life has been successful. |
Well, it was certainly too much to hope that she would be dead broke and have to EARN a living like the rest of us, god forbid, but I will HAPPILY take what I can get as far as that filthy tramp is concerned.
|
I'm rather certain that in the Hilton family line, there are far worse skellys in the closet than a lame drunk-driving rap.
|
I'll agree with the sentiments above and say that this is probably a good thing. I guess there's just something unsettling about foolish people getting rewarded for doing nothing.
|
how does her life, let alone lifestyle, affect me?

If it were anyone else, I would say "Not at all." However, the news is permeated with stories of Paris (this included) and I for one wish everyone would just STFU about her. If we ignored her, she'd go the fuck away. My 2 cents. (I realize just how hypocritical I sound by saying that, as this is the third time I've posted in this thread alone about her). |

Even if this story was true, do you really think that losing a $60 million dollar inheritance means anything to Paris? She'll make that much, if not more in the next couple of years by showing up at bars, or pretending to sing, or "accidentally" starring in another porno, or putting her name on some make-up or home abortion kit. The majority of people here will say that Paris isn't worth talking about, but TFP is about the farthest thing from "The majority of people" that I can think of. |
I'm surprised by almost every reply in this thread...I think sultana voiced the thought that immediately came to mind best.
in any case, Paris does "earn" her money. Whether people think acting/modeling/singing are legit career choices I suppose is up to them. But if her Grandpa got angry because someone else released a private video of her, or because she went to jail over a DUI...well, then I'd say he was another example of an 80 year old judgmental asshole. I don't care about Paris all that much to give her thought. But I don't have some unwarranted hatred of her either. Even if she had been axed from her G-pa's will, it wouldnt' have fazed her financially one bit. Although I'd figure it would hurt her feelings most. If the family does begin donating to a charity, I'd wonder why no one thought to wonder what exactly the charity would do...especially since the claim was the foundation was formed and named for the donor. Hmm, tax shelter anyone... |

BTW, I just have to say it: "That's cold." |
It has been my opinion, since the release of that Hilton sex tape that the tape was purposly leaked to the public. The only purpose i can see of wanting to do that is to gain fame and publicity. at least to me, i havnt heard the name Paris Hilton untill that tape was released.. I believe she took the quickest and easiest was to fame. the fortune she already had.
So, the question that keeps rolling around in my head is, why in the world would you want to be known as the rich and famous version of a trailer trash whore when she was her fortunes from the beginning? Either she was rebelling against her own family, (because certainly this would be an embarrasment to them) or she was wanting to make her own way.. sort of speak.. And.. that gif is freaking creepy. |
I'm with smooth. The fact that people get together to complain about people like hilton just keeps her name bouncing around. If any of you really had a problem with her, at least one you weren't willing to overlook because complaining about famous people makes you feel better about yourself somehow, you wouldn't be talking about her at all.
How ridiculous is it to take time out of your day to write a little bit on the internet about how horrible it is that a specific person is famous, when the fact that you took time out of your day to complain about said person actually contributes to her existence as a public figure? She's a brand without a product, ignore her, she will go away. Otherwise admit that you enjoy her presence, if only because it gives you a reason to look down your nose and mutter, "tsk, tsk." |
I feel bad for those who would have gotten the inheritance and have some semblance of common sense and behavior. Not horribly bad, but I know I would be annoyed if someone cut me out of their will for something my sister did.

And the last article I read about Paris Hilton said she raked in more money than J-Lo last year, over 200 million. I think she'll be alright without granddaddy's money. |

OK, I can see how she is visually stimulating. I can even see how her bank accounts may turn heads... but what man in their right mind would want to marry and procreate with her?!
|
The same kind of man who procreated with Nicole Richie.

That gif made me feel sick.
