It's how people talk. They are very open in there, and that's a good thing. I don't really understand the need for the hostility in the post though. *shrug*

What bothers me about women: the games. I'm very straight forward about things. If something is wrong and you want to talk about it, say something. Don't make me guess. I read most women's signs like Stevie Wonder reads pitching signs. Tell me, otherwise, I'm not going to know.

A few comments. First for Halx. 1) I find it ironic that you're admonishing goaterizer for being rude while presenting an avatar of yourself jerking off. While rude is not the exact adjective I'd use to describe your avatar, it's in the ball park. Another case of eye of the beholder I suppose. 2) goaterizer appears to have issues and wrote an angry thread starter, but all he did was ask that the women refrain from participating in this one thread. It's a much more subdued request than the marching orders we men receive in the Ladies' Lounge. And then when the second post he got in response was from a woman, he expressed frustration with that. I don't see rude there. I understand that under the rules a woman is free to respond to this thread. They are also free to honor his request and see how the men deal with this topic. Just a difference of opinion.

goaterizer - Women are a mystery to men and become more so as the years go by. Accept it. They're not all the same. And they're hardly represented fully in the Ladies' Lounge. Like I said to Halx, sounds like you've got more on your mind than just what you read in the Lounge. Concentrate on what is beautiful in women and what excites and delights you, and you'll get a much better response from them.

The games get to me too. My last girlfriend made a big thing of getting me to promise to talk when I was annoyed about something - which I agreed to readily because it's an easy promise to keep. She didn't practice what she preached though. As an example, one evening when we were out for dinner, I did something wrong early on - I still have no idea what! - and got the cold shoulder for the rest of the evening. Needless to say, that relationship did not last long.

so why don't we have a "men's only" forum? because we're really not that deep. we don't need some fucking boy's room where we can all scratch our balls and brag about the chick we banged last night without being chided by the ladies. we are in no danger from predators. we don't need to be protected. accept it.

Hey, there's no point getting upset over anything in the Ladies Lounge. I myself find it an interesting place to lurk in.
I haven't been offended yet, but I guess I'm kind of used to the style. Have quite a few close female friends.

But if you really get grumpy from reading it, see it this way:
Free Recon. Yeah, you heard me. Those evuuul women and their evuuul plans, right there in front of you. They are giving you a totally new meaning to the phrase "know your enemy". Don't complain. Take it all in! Learn!

Or just go there for a new point of view.

I suppose that the only thing I could see as an improvement, would be some type of section of the Ladies Lounge where men can post questions, and only women can reply. I think some guys would appreciate it, and perhaps the women on the board would find it interesting to see what the men really wants to know.

I think goaterizer actually, inadvertantly, has proven why the ladies lounge is not a luxury, by behaving in the way he has.

Oh, and by the way, I never ever read the ladies lounge. I don't go there. I respect their privacy. TFP is so tilted toward the male point of view, I appreciate totally the fact that there are women here at all. We have great lady mods who take care of things there and I don't feel I need to monitor the LL. And personally, I have no curiosity about what occurs there.

The only thing I don't understand are the frequent gripes about the LL we get from men. Well, to be truthful, I do understand it. It's sad.

I couldn't agree more. Women think they're trying to do us a favor by trying to change everything they hate about us. All that shows me is they all hate men. They can't just let their man be himself. It's a challenge to all women to make you into some guy that they would like you to be. I think it's complete bullcrap. Which is exactly why I never keep a girlie for too long. If you're trying to change every fucking little thing that you hate about me that just proves that you really can't stand me. So why would I waste my time and let some chic that I'm fucking run my life and ruin me? Not gonna happen. I have never tried to change a girl that I dated and I never will. I disagree. Women are doing themselves a favor by telling us the things that annoy them about men. And we should respect them enough to at least listen to what they say, and not do away with it by going: "women hate me, so they try to change me for their own perverted pleasures". If you still disagree then, you have something to talk about.

I'm not denying that they are sometimes wrong, and they can definately exagerate up there with the best of them, but to refuse to change will ultimately make it impossible to live together with a woman. There are differences between men and women, and it's both parties responsability to bridge the gap.

They need a place where they won't be overwhelmed by the testosterone.

My beef with women can be applied to EITHER sex.

So then what the hell is my point? My point is that we as men need to just suck it in when a woman hurts us or pokes fun at us or otherwise offends us, because... thats just how things work. And if you don't like this, then maybe you're not really a man... you're just another one of those starry-eyed idealists.

To address the original point of this thread, the only thing I find wrong with women is that they're so damn beautiful that I can't stand it sometimes, but then again thats a good thing

As far as a rant. I don't have much to rant about, because I try to communicate with my wife (the only real woman that matters in my daily life) and I request that she does the same. Say what you mean and mean what you say. Period.

Sometimes I fall into the same traps that women do.. why? because I'm a human being. Sometimes we don't want to say something or are afraid of the response.

last night, way past my usual bed time, i crept into the ladies lounge.....and if the stuff i found in there is any clue as to the majority of women in world, id rather be a celabate hermit, than ever talk to on again........im not a woman hater........im just dissappointed to know that most women are like that, when based on all my past female friends i had a pretty good outlook on them

1) if you find my avatar rude, you're on the wrong board. This is a forum based upon, of all things, the acceptance of sexuality. I've seen other naked bodies in avatars, some of a user's own, and no complaints.
2) we have a rule that pretty much says that you cannot exclude anyone from participating in your thread. When a woman DID post, he reacted in a foul way. Now, I don't know if you noticed, but she was a brand new member. I don't want a little comment like that to turn her off of this board. I am far more interested in getting a new witty female posting on the board, than an easily frustrated male. We have enough of those all ready.

First, several issues have been mixed up that should be dealt with separately, all dosed liberally with indignation at the "unfairness" of life, including:

-a separate ladies lounge

-percieved offence at a naked 'Male' avatar w/o similar offense at naked 'Female' avatars

-general anger at women


Since most of these have been addressed by Hal and some other mod's, I don't need to add except to say that I agree 100% with them. I will reiterate that since men have free run over this board, I fully support a woman's only area.

And I'm sorry Goat, but I have no sympathy for you.

well, this has been the source of some amusement... first I'd like to say that I think the Ladies area is great, I don't personally go there because I'd find it too tempting to post, and REALLY don't wanna read stuff there anyhow... I have to agree with the hatred of the 'Nothing' answer, and add another thing: The need for EVERYTHING to be perfect before you can have company over, I'm sure most, if not all of the guys here have seen this before. It stresses them out to the point they stress you out, and then everything goes to hell...

I have been a while back to TFP , (like a month) but its the same ol' shit... I ain't gonna stop being here because of it, but jaysus, calm down... The Ladies Lounge is just that 4 the ladies... You don't like.. stay the fuck out.

We are in the majority (being male) and we do in some small way rule it (check the post count in the boobies thread).

The ladies that are here should be encouraged to participate and I for one would be happy that they engaged me in some discusion (sp).

I worry that a MAN who doesn't deal with it will always be with a man..... ~I personally like women too much to let that happen...

PS: for some others, all women aren't like that.. You know the cock is as powerful as the pussy if not more so, cause we've had more practice!
