I'm 49 and am going through a mid life crisis of sort , I'm looking for some excitement. I want to parachute out of a plane or hang glide, most this type I do not know if possible given circumstances? My wife even said have an affair or something safe, just don't tell me!

I've been on a balloon ride and I recommend it. You float along silently except for the occassional gas jet. You *must* bring a camera so that we can see some pics! :)

So get her to go along and SHE can mount you up in the balloon. ;)

Balloon rides are awesome. It's even better if you know someone that will actually take you along for a real ride rather than one of those teathered rides. Floating slowly over lakes is incredible!!

Never been on a hot air balloon ride, but go for it.

Do a tandem parachute jump. You will empty your bladder!

Boating would be fun. I know that they can charter boats to go here and there and everywhere.

Every year at Laguna Seca Raceway, they have a charity event where Porsche racers allow people to sit in their passenger seat and they gun it around the track a few times. I think it's still held in September. You can request that they move at any speed that safe and comfortable for you. I used to drive there....*tear*

Safari! South Africa is one of the most beautiful places on the planet. Loins and tigers and rhinos.

Just a few ideas.

Hang gliding, balloon ride, might even consider sailing for a few days or weeks. Buy an old car, truck, or even better a running hot rod or muscle car. Keep the affair in your imagination only.

With all that's been going on with my daughter, I forgot about this thread.

What I really want to do is go for a nice balloon ride with my wife, drinking a bottle of great Champagne and sneaking off with her having the greatest affair of our lives!

I can imagine the main issue of the day is currently not your midlife crisis, but save this plan for when you get around to it!
