Like I said before,
Canadian marriages are legal in the United States. Canada doesn't have a residence requirement to get married there. The US will have to recognize the marriages or make anyone married in Canada to be illegitimate unless they get married in the US and somehow I can't see that happening. |

not really redravin. The US is not bound to be all or nothing with marriages. AFAIK (+ IANAL) they are only required to recognise unions equivalent to those known in the state.
