I can't freaking believe it! I am at a loss for words right now, my head is spinning! :eek:

What are standard taxes on prize money? I need to find a lawyer, and an accountant... there is just too much to think about right now.

How much should I give to charity? Is there a fixed %?

This is just all coming at me too fast, I can't cope right now.

Has anyone else ever won the lottery? I could use some advice here.

how much did you just take home, ball park? we talkin big or little here...you're sounding like its big. congratulations. i think you're going to fork over about 1/2 of it in taxes, and take the lump sum payment up front.

if it's a tidy sum - talk to a financial planner or tax attorney before doing anything...

All in all it's about $15.00 So... $7.50 after taxes if I am doing my math right.

I couldn't believe it when I scratched off that last number. I was in tears, jumping about like a spider monkey on coke. It was like the culmination of my being.
