Father of the Year

NOT

This guy is an idiot. And anyone that would buy this for the purpose he's selling it for is just as bad. Geeesh, growing up is hard enough without psycho games from the parents.

Sorry.....

Here's the gist of it...

This auction is for an EMPTY Nintendo Wii Box. just the empty box that the Wii came in. You are probably asking yourself why i'm selling an empty wii box and think im trying to scam people but here is the real reason why: I have kids that have been real bad that last couple of years, especially during Christmas time. They would yell and scream and whine every single day for some expensive present that i absolutely refuse to buy but they eventually get because their mom buys it for them. All those years i've had the idea of just buying the box of the toy but have nothing in them and giving it to my kids. Well, last Christmas, that was what i did.
It goes on from there. Its incredible. :(

Wow that is so awesome. There seems so be a bunch of creative parenting stories lately: having your kid arrested, leaving your kid in a Buddhist monastery, and now this. Kudos to the parents.

If my kids are bratty and whiny and ungrateful with christmas, fuck them... They'll be taught a lesson.

This teaches valuable life lessons about material posessions, not to mention the spirit of christmas.

Fuck those kids and their greedy "WHAT DID YOU GET ME THIS YEAR!?!? OMG IT'S NOT WHAT I WANTED YOU'RE A HORRIBLE PARENT" attitude.

This year I didn't even ask for anything for christmas. I said I would like some food and some good company. Anything beyond that is pure joy because I know my brother is getting married, my sister is in debt, my mom is very poor and my dad is getting remarried. Nobody has any money and I just want some good food and some good company.

I swear, if my kids ever act ungrateful at christmas it's going to be celebrated without presents entirely the following year.

I like this guy...

I think the idea of giving your kids nothing for Christmas is of debatable merrit. I suppose you could argue that it could be considered good parenting because it would teach bratty kids a lesson.

But what is really appalling is the fact that this guy so clearly hates his kids and relishes the idea of inflicting psychological pain on them. Parents are certainly not morally compelled to buy their kids whatever the hell the kids demand. But if a pair of parents decide that their kids don't deserve what they have asked for, then buy them something more modest, or buy them nothing at all. The whole "empty box" thing is completely unnecessary.

wow i thought i was bitter :D

I'm not sure i have a real problem with what hes doing however i object to his method - he's a freakin' parent and he's complainig that his kids have been whiney and ungrateful for years... Umm - dude - do something about it then.. get on the same page with your ex-wife (I assume this is an ex-wife anyhow) and work on fixing the attitude of the kids.. and not letting it go on for years.

Our kids learn from us, if we are greedy mother fuckers, our kids will be and worse because we'll see ourselves in them. That sounds like the father.... a whiny, self centered prick, teaching his kids how to be one.

If we teach them love and respect are more important, they will go down that road. Teach them money is a necessary evil but not the end all to your troubles and in fact can create some.

In the end the amount of time you spend with them is important, but the quality and teaching is by far the most important time.
