self-analysis?
 

a girl i know said that a guy at a bar once did this analysis for people. basically he asked question, gave scenaries, situations, etc. it would allow the person to figure out their habits, perception of others/themselves, etc..

can someone explain how to do this? she was brief and had to leave. thanks.

i dont often do this on purpose, but i do the same thing often just because i ask alot of questions to keep a conversaion going, you would have to know what certain answers to questions mean, then ask them,

Its called pyschology. You have to study and understand it before you can apply it. You have to know what to look for when people give you certain answers. That or just have some really good intuition.

It takes a lot of reaserch, practice, and natural talent. I have a talent for reading body language, but fall well short of being good enough to make assumptions on behaviour... there are some really switched-on people out there though

You should note that this WASN'T "self-analysis". Self-analysis is a waste of time. You can't turn around fast enough to see yourself. To really get insight into how you operate, you HAVE to work it out in conversation with another person.

The guy was just trying to pick up chicks. I am a psychology student and I have seen people trying to pull shit like that off a good amount. The guy will ask a girl some questions and then say some really nice stuff while using her reactions to guide him. If you want to learn how to actually analyze someone study psychology if your looking to pick up girls use your intuition.

Ratbastid: I would have to disagree with you self analysis can be extremely helpful if you are willing to be 'truthful' with yourself. The problem is people arent realistic about who they are and they tend to exxagerate their positive qualities.
