Ok so this has been my standby cheap costume for a while now.
Get a whole bunck of those small assorted cereal boxes from the store, empty out the boxes, and pin all of the boxes on you. Carry a big spoon..... _ _ _ _ _ _ Can you guess what it is? Cereal Killer! (plus you get breakfast for a week or so) |

I just finished painting my Pyramid Head mask and I have to paint the great knife tomorrow. I actually managed to build a 7 foot great knife (6 feet of blade) that I can hold out wtih my arm fully extended. I'm going to scare the hell out of some kids on halloween.

The inside of the helmet sits directly on my head and I may put in some foam buffers to keep it from sliding, but the important part is that with the extra few inches it adds, I will be over 7 feet tall. I'm going to go outside and splash some fake blood on my clothes now. Last edited by MSD; 02-17-2008 at 12:50 AM.. |

This year I'll be going as a ghostbuster... sure its been done before... and some people go all out with proton packs etc... MY proton pack however will be a brand new back pack herbicide sprayer, painted black on the outside and maybe some radio shack led's on the outside... the twist though, is that Im making a nice mix of everclear, sprite, limeade and lemonade to go in the tank. Then I can go around the party just filling up mine or anyone else's drink. I think it'll be a good way to meet people.

What in the hell costume is that?
It's from a movie I assume, must be one that I haven't seen.

I believe it's from Silent Hill: it's the pyramid head guy. He's one vicious mo'fo and didn't have nearly enough face time in the movie.

FYI: I took the style from the games, not the movie. While I liked the movie character and the implicaiton that Spoiler: Pyramid head is the demon's father, I don't think he got enough time on screen and I think the helmet looked cool, but too mechanical. A funny side note: someone on another forum said that the great knife looks "dinky" when I drag it. |

I'm probably going as Waldo this year (from where's waldo, the children's book); it's a pretty easy one and easy to spot out.
Other ideas I thrown around before doing that: Fidel Castro (wearing an adidas jumpsuit) franzia box wine milhouse [simpsons] etch-a-sketch [with dry erase boards on both sides of you] Kim Jong-Il (pretty popular among the tfp'ers, i guess] Pac-Man Ali G/Borat I remember, last day of high school, a kid dressed up as Link from Zelda for the hell of it. He was damn hilarious [went around pushing garbage cans ] cya, will.

To make the robe look dirtier and more aged, maybe try pouring tea over it? I know you can make paper look like parchment that way, I can only imagine that it would have a similar effect on cloth. But awesome looking costume man. I may have to copy you

I would like to just post these outright since you did give a warning of sorts in the first post, but I'll just post links to some good ones I've seen lately:

Dress all in black, including the face... go as a Shadow Of My Former Self.
This year, if I have to it's the knee-high lace up boots I wear most winters, black tights, mini-skirt, wife-beater with black bra and the afro. Holes in tights, ballpoint pen dots on inside of elbows and black electrical tape on front tooth. I'm going as my neighbor. I've also done a very tasteless construction worker complete with the wifebeater, hat, tool belt, plaid shirt, boots, and attitude.... did learn that toolbelts make awesome drink holders. And that angry construction workers in Orlando will yell at you. A lot. One of my friends did the Corpse Bride by hand and looked fantastic. Wish I could post it, but she's under age.

Originally my man and I were going to be Bonnie & Clyde but I didn't want to be too cold in a Bonnie outfit, so I wussed out and found a cute Moll Gangster costume to go with his:
