Most exploited celebrity in history?
Who do you think is the most exploited celebrity in history? If you see a celebrity not on the list, post it, and explain why they should be on the list.

I wouldn't call half of those people celebrities. Calling Jesus a celebrity, exploted or not, just makes you look like you're trying to start an argument, not have a discussion. When I think of a celebrity, I think of Britney Spears or Nicholas Cage. Not political or religious figures.

Jesus is the only non-twentieth century person listed, so I'll go with him...
misguided or not, his name has been used in the name of untold numbers of atrocities... Martin Luther? Paul?

Mmmm,
Interesting choices there. I think I'll abstain since I can see where this one is going.

You know, I'm going to have to admit, I'm not really totally sure if I'd consider any of those people to be the most exploited celebrities. In fact, I'm not sure I'd consider some of them to be celebrities at all. I guess that's another story.

Jesus Christ, if only for those assholes that ask for donations to further his teachings so they can afford a new ferrari.

Out of that list, clearly it has to be Jesus. Just look at 2000 years of Western civilization. You might want to start with the Crusades.
More recently, I am amazed at how MLK's family exploits his memory. They sue for royalties on his speeches, which are news events, not works of art. His widow and son are a kind of psuedo royalty around Atlanta, and their exploits would be comical if they were not so sad.
