DALLAS/FORT WORTH TEXAS -- ANYONE?
I'm posting this here since I don't see the regional forum anymore..
OK.. Well.. It looks like I'm going to DFW. More specifically I'll be working in Grand Prairie right at the municiple airport. I need some help from people in that area. #1- Obviously looking to meet people there and make some friends. #2- Advise on 3 - 4 month temporary housing? #3- Whats fun to do there? I'm very diverse so.. I'll take all information on that. #4 Anyone know a good route from NY to Dallas? I DO NOT trust Mapquest. Has anyone ever done that or a similar trip? How long does it take? Anything else I should know? Thanks in advance for any help.

Mapquest is fine for highways. I would recommend S&T however, it is a great program, grab a bluetooth GPS and your good to go!

I live in college station, and mt GF is from the dallas area, I was up there a few weeks ago and went to this dance hall named Gilly's. It was a lot of fun, it was a smokeless bar with a dance floor, stage and pool tables.

Most of us are good people here in DFW. Depending on what part you want to live in. There is about 40 miles of metroplex between Dallas and Ft. Worth. Towns called Hurst, Euless, Bedford, Irving, Arlington, Addison, etc. PM me with more detailed info about where you'll be at and what your interests are and i'll be happy to give you all kinds of info.
