NYC Sunday April 23rd
 

Folks - The Amazing LurkBastids are coming to the mostly-fair city of New York this weekend, and we're having a mini-meetup (or is that mini-up?) on Sunday evening, the 23rd of April. Everyone's in at about 8pm.

We're going to get together, probably play some pool, and shoot the shit! (HAHAHAHA, I love that pun. :D )

So respond here if you're interested or have a suggestion for a pool hall in Manhattan, and I'll update with any decisions or changes.

Also, if there's anything you think The Amazing LurkBastids shouldn't miss, mention that here too!

Well, there's always that Billiards place on the upper west side (in the 80s), buuuut there is Steinway Billiards here in my 'hood if you guys want to stay in Astoria... plenty of tables and the mix of old greek people and saucy Queens teenagers you can only find in Astoria. :)

Amsterdam Billiards. Something like lower 70s and Amsterdam... It's a nice place - but probably on the pricey side. Of course I like it because it's 8 blocks from me.

Just found out my flight doesn't get in till 8:30 - how long should it take me to get there from the airport?

That depends on AM or PM and which day it is. BIG difference. Not to mention where "there" is. You're referring to Jess and Quadro?

Okay, rainy day, 5 people of 7 confirmed are/will be in Astoria, AND I will be making two airport trips, thus need to be close to my car/parking... means that it's an Astoria gig. 8:30pm.

McCann's Pub (what? Irish pub? No!) on Ditmars Ave. bet. 37th and 38th Street.
For you Manhattanites, take the N/W to Ditmars, get off and walk towards the end of the elevated tracks - make a right on Ditmars, and McCann's will be on your left. Look for Ratbastid, as I may be off to pick up the lovely Lurkette. Don't forget to wish RattyB a Happy Birthday, as tomorrow is his day!
