Spring Forward This Weekend...

Don't forget to set your watches, if you do that sort of thing where you are...

April 2, 2006 at 2:00am.. it's that time of year again... time to say goodbye to that precious hour...

At least it will stay a little lighter in the evening... but when that alarm goes off at 5:30am - it's painful getting up in the dark...

It is a hard adjustment, but man I love me my Daylight Savings Time. I'm *so* much more productive, it's insane.

*cheers DST*

spring ahead fall back

My two boys are soooooo ready for this. When I come home from work, they just want me to run off to the playground with them and now that it will still be light outside we'll start again.

"What is it...Spring forward, jump back?" my ol' mum always asks. (Here in the UK - she never can get the whole Autumn/Fall thing...) Bless 'em.

Yeah, right, like I'm falling for that.

You think I don't know that it's April Fools Day?

[makes note to set clocks back an hour Sunday morning]

Hah! I'm not falling for it again this year. You know the saying:

Fool me once, shame on you, fool me six times, I burn your house down.

It's amazing how insanely intense people's feelings are about Daylight Savings Time up here in Indiana. We just adopted DST this year, and there are so many differing views on the issue.

I think there was a front-page article in the editorial section of our paper discussing the pros and cons of the system. Many gave extremely heartfelt testimonials, from soccer moms who are happy their kids will get to play longer to drive-in movie owners whose weekday business will probably decrease due to later showings. There's a lot more to this issue than I first thought!

ROFL no kidding. It's pure pandemonium here in IN.

Doing business in Ohio and Michigan, it worked out great for me however.

Man, had I known about this yesterday I might have only been 20 minutes late to work today instead of 80. Grrrr...
