Reminds me of a piece on the Today Show last week about how we choose mates similar to our parents...as part of the piece they showed a clip from the movie Must Love Dogs where Diane Lane's character answers her own father's personal ad.

It really doesn't surprise me that this would happen, and I doubt they're alone. We do have a tendency to pick people that have the traits we like in our own parents--I know my boyfriend has a lot of the same traits I admire in my father. So, whether we realize it or not...the majority of us are dating our own parents in a sense...

I once read a story about a woman who found a guy on one of those websites where people meet up to plan "purely for sex" encounters. They talked about fantasies for a while, decided they were compatible, and set up a time to meet in the hotel room, each wearing what the other requested........turned out to be father-daughter. :o THAT story sounded fake. This one seems legit.

But I guess it's not. :o

Thanks Borla, I was about to head over to snopes myself. I'm glad I'm not the only person who immediately thought it was fake. Especially when I got to the part when they blurted out the entire story to the cop.

I figured since it was on Yahoo it was safe to post. Squirt tipped me off to the snopes link. :D

Now, on to the topic at hand and my own witty comment: Sophocles would be proud if he were around to see this.

I remember when I was still in my high school in Norway, my and my Finnish best friend wrote a skit about a young man flirting and stuff with a woman nicknamed 'sexymama' who ends up to be the young man's mom. We had quite a good audience reaction in the end...

But I would never thought such things could actually come true...

No that would be finding out the 'date' was your dad.

I intentionally look for people with traits that are NOTHING like those of my parents... and this story makes me feel better about doing that (even if it is fake). I'll never date over the net though.

I still can't get it out of my head...

By the way, the keys you were looking for are under your scarf by the front door.
