This is the quotation I ended up selecting for my door. I think it's a really apt quote for kids in recovery to see.

But the crack is always there.

That describes my life over these last six months perfectly. When she realizes what she's lost, and comes crawling back, I'm deliberating answering the phone. Love her (and her boys) with all my heart, but after six years of friendship, and moving across the country to help/spend time with her and her sons, to be cast aside for a man just sucks.

Okay, /switches out of "woe is me" mode/ my two favorite quotes (aside from my sig) that I can come up with off top of my head... "Fuck you, you fucking Fuck," and "How you doin'?" (Joey)... not feeling very deep at the moment. =/

One that I saw the other day that became a favorite.

And another Shaw quote:

"People are always blaming their circumstances for what they are. I don't believe in circumstances. The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and, if they can't find them, make them." George Bernard Shaw

I swear i'm not going through and fact-checking people's quotes, but some quotes I know are not from the people i'm seeing credited.

"If a million people say a foolish thing, it is still a foolish thing."

This is actually a quote from Anatole France, pen name of author Jacques Anatole François Thibault. While I DO find a few hits for Bertrand Russell's version, I find a ton of results for Anatole France. Anatole France was 28 years older than Bertran Russell, so In all likelihood it could technically have been either one of them, unless we found something definitive, not just a quotes page from a quotes website. lol
