I prefer the low lands, myself.

I've done that. No joke. Collecting plant specimens in the cloud forests of French Polynesia. It's awesome. I will do it again in a heartbeat. And to get to that kind of ridge line there's a significant amount of bouldering involved.

While I didn't photograph the truly intense parts of the trails I traveled, I did take one photo that shows a bit of the insanity. Here's a photo of me in 2007, off the trail on a sheer mountain edge, while bagging a sedge.

I uprooted a sedge and put it in a bag... a sedge is a grass-like plant. They gave me a decent grant to go on that trip, covered expenses and gave me the experience of a lifetime.
