EPIC - DHS: We Have the Authority to Routinely Strip-Search Air Travelers

The US DHS, an organisation seemingly put in place after 9/11 for the sole purpose of controlling American citizens and their movement within and without their own country, has unilaterally decided it trumps yet another of their rights. Or perhaps this is only an extension of its ability to thumb its nose at the American Judiciary.

I admit I've not read the entire EPIC submission, just the outrageous comments made by the DHS counsel. I can't for the life of me understand why Americans allow an organisation like this to continue to erode their constitutional rights (as understood by an outsider).
