Basil Marceaux, The Next Governor of Tennessee

There are no words...

...you know I stick up for my adopted state a lot, fighting off ignorant stereotypes about toothless hillbillies and such but what can I even say about this?

Meet Basil Marceaux, Republican candidate for Governor. Again there are no words.

^ gets good about 15 sec or so in

No really thats channel 4, Nashvilles most watched local news station. They really did do series profiling the candidates for Governor and this guy really did wind up with a spot.

Personally I think he's thinking to small running for Governor or Tennessee, I think he could give Sarah Palin a run for her money as the Republican candidate for President in 2012. You do have to admit he presents an interesting and thought provoking platform with such ideas as:

Everyone should carry guns because if you kill someone you'll get murdered and go to jail.

and

Planting grass and/or vegitation in all vacant lots across the state that we can sell for gas to pay state expenses.

I know who my write in candidate this fall will be!

Yeah I saw this yesterday, this is what I picture when I read an internet troll, what they are in real life.

I gotta give the guy a hand for trying to do something with his life I suppose. That's about all the commentary I'll offer on the positive side though.

The rest of him just screams fail

HA! Good call about the troll Shauk.

I can agree maybe the spectacle is a little on the mean side but when a major local news station profiles him for the Governors race...I mean c'mon you just can't let something like that slip by unnoticed. Its viral gold.

I thought his name "Basil Marceaux . com" for whatever reason (nebulous source gave me this info).

Also, it's very rare that I hear a politician tell me to have "a very nice day", so, just based on that, I think we have our next Mayor of Bluffington (Governorship to come afterward).

I here that, but you know with the crop of candidates running for Governor this year I almost think this fellow might not be half bad.

LOL Jet, I love the way he says "My name is Basil Marceaux.com" check out his other video he has on youtube its how he always introduces himself.
