Atlantis - Mystery Solved?

I'll be honest here-I've got a history show on youtube that I'd like to take to the next level (whatever that is). So I figured I needed a BIG topic, like solving the mystery of Atlantis in 8 minutes. Surprisingly, that's what I think I've done.

Sorry I can't post the link because I'm new here, but if you search 'Finding Atlantis' on youtube it will take you there.

What do you think? Mystery solved? Should I call up the History Channel?

My headphones are broken so I can't listen, but I'm going to do the OP a favor.. he's referring to this video, I presume:

I make no guarantees about the video, but it might inspire some discussion if the video is embedded.

Welcome, by the way, tokarski21.

Did you make that? If so that was pretty impressive.

Sounds like about as good a theory as I have ever heard.

I like it a lot. I appreciate the straight forward narrative and not trying to build up the hype. Gives me something to think about.

That's actually pretty good. I'm impressed with both the quality and content.

It's well done, and you could have a future in historical film... but...

You failed to take into account that the people who believe in Atlantis are not the same people who will be swayed by scientific evidence. Even though you may be able to prove beyond doubt that civilization could not have existed before such and such a time, because agriculture was not developed, tools were not invented, etc, that won't stop people from claiming that Atlantis was populated by a race of alien visitors.

So... why not spend your time researching legitimate historical mysteries? You have a talent for doing this kind of thing, obviously, but if you want to be taken seriously, apply it to questions that haven't already been answered.

You're right. I have 9 other episodes on my youtube channel, but viewership is not where I would like it to be - and I thought a more topical episode might help. It's kind of funny that my favorite episode, on allied bombing decisions of WWII, has the lowest number of viewers of all.

You can't find any evidence of Atlantis on earth because it wasn't on earth! It was in the Pegasus galaxy. Duh!
