I don't know what this is but it's cool
GO TO http://174.133.240.117
Type "alpha tsentr" (no quotes) wtf is this? People keep telling me it's an ARG. |
when i hover over the link to google, it seems to be an I.P. address.
when i go to google myself and type it in, i get nothing. (no way im clicking on a link to google thats all ip...experience from the AOL days.) |
yeah I posted it as the IP address, this board auto converts things to page title links. it's nothing malicious.
---------- Post added at 08:42 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:32 PM ---------- I dead ended at the vimeo video so link alpha tsentr facebook/mystuff ad click bunches, get freaked out vimeo video ??? |
protip: the link you posted isn't google. nice try though. :)
|
The IP address linked does not resolve to Google.
Are you trying to play a joke on us? |
I KNOW it's not google *sigh* I already explained that.
---------- Post added at 09:03 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:55 PM ---------- edit: fixed the stupid auto title thing. and here's the source so you can get your paranoid e-panties out of a bunch Code:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> load main.swf http://174.133.240.117/main.swf god forbid anyone trust a link from Shauk. Flash will blow up mah puter! oh noez! |
It's not that I don't trust links from Shauk. Rather, I don't trust links pretending to be something they're not.
I misunderstood, and thought you were trying to claim that was Google. If we're not pretending it is, it changes the landscape a bit. |
so yeah I went through it up the facebook part, went to "my stuff" and the lil flash app there took me to NSE - Introducing Junsui Project I did this earlier today and it took me to a vimeo thing, but now the database on NSE - Introducing Junsui Project seems to be borked.
Not really sure what all this is but it's pretty damn cool either way. ---------- Post added at 09:17 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:15 PM ---------- Quote:
yeah, the site acts like google but it's pretty obviously coded to react to that search string, whereas the real google is not. |
The IP address belongs to theplanet.com, which is a generic webhosting company.
From what I've turned up on the real Google, it seems to be viral marketing, possibly for a film adaptation of Parasite Eve. |
hrm, so yeah

*pokes IP with a stick*
okay, ill give it a shot. |
I'm guessing it's a viral ad for a show or movie. . .
|
yeah so that IP address resolves to a new site, still creepy as hell.
