fake?

At first I thought it was some viral advertising for god know what, lubricant maybe? The website is in German though and it appears that he's trying to sell the slide, or maybe just the concept of the slide.. Babelfish website translation is worthless..

Yeaaah, I don't think so.

I don't think that his forward momentum could have been absorbed by that landing pool.

I don't think he could have gone as far forward, either. But if it's real, where do I sign up?

That's an awfully tiny splash pool.

Ha ha ha good god how could anybody think this is real. Let's see: either A. land in the pool, or B. die. I don't like the alternatives for missing, and the chance of missing is really high. Oh, and the slope of the hill is nowhere near sharp enough to create that much forward momentum. He would be lucky to make it to the top of the ramp on that small of a slide and at that angle.

OOh ... I am such a nerd. I was actually considering computing the best/worst case variables to determine (mathematically) how unlikely or impossible that stunt was. Good work on the edit tho!

Also the splash in the pool is wrong. It should be flung almost entirely forward. It looks like he just dropped in vertically.

No doubt. There's many things wrong with it. He was getting way too much acceleration going down the slide and the launch just doesn't look right. There's way too much forward momentum and not enough upward momentum or gravity pulling his ass to the ground. The Splash is wrong as Fresnelly said, and even if you practiced it 1000 times with a dummy, even the slightest difference in speed could throw off your landing by a ton. Also, If you're going to do it for real and it's a live or die thing.. you should have at least 20 different cameras and a paying audience

I didn't wanna add that to the first post though... It'd spoil it.
